Our usual method is to persuade the travel agent to give us insurance. If you are spending thousands on a trip they will often do this to ensure the sale.

We have often got the top level cover free even when they won't budge on the price of the holiday.

Depends on how you book and if you run into problems its nice to have an agent do the donkey work for you.

Lloyds TSb were £28.50 28days inc luggage delay/loss and allthe usual others, but I agree get the travel agent to throw it in or at least half price--it works!
