Cocomotion

Post by Simon Partridge »

Yesterday morning at 10am we stood on the beach and watched the fabulous sight of Cocomotion speeding round the corner into Arnos Vale Bay. Despite having been on several trips with Marlon, we never tire of that sight and it only serves to heighten our excitement as we know we are in for a fun packed day. Climbing aboard, as Cocomotion bobs in the surf, we greet our host and make ourselves comfortable...and then we are off!! Marlon's sense of humour shines through in his commentary as he navigates us up the island pointing out the many little coves and bays that are ONLY accessible from the sea. Some we stop at to snorkel or swim, seeing all manner of tropical fish, others we stop at to sample Marlon's own recipe Rum Punch or an ice cold Carib and the morning just flies by. Soon it is time to head back down to No Man's Land where we disembark and watch Marlon expertly light a barbeque and cook us a delicious lunch of chicken and dolphin-fish, accompanied by salads and garlic bread...yum yum. This we eat, under the shade of the trees, washed down with more Rum Punch and our meal is then rounded off by a generous slice of Rachel's famous carrot cake...the best we have ever, ever tasted!! After lunch we have a chance to relax and spot a huge stingray playing in the sand...what a treat! Then we are off again to the Nylon Pool for another Rum Punch and a swim in the supposedly efficacious waters....I'm still waiting to look ten years younger though!!! And too soon our day has to come to an end and we have a thrilling ride back to Arnos Vale where we bid farewell to Marlon...until the next time!!

None of us wanted to leave Cocomotion and this is testament to the excellent hosting skills of Marlon and the fact that his enthusiasm is so infectious. You can take any number of different boat trips from the bays of Tobago but all will be second best to the Cocomotion Tour because none of the others have Marlon!

Our thanks for a superb day, The Partridge Family
