I stayed at shirma’s during the months of July - August whilst undertaking my medical elective and honestly cannot recommend the place enough. I stayed in a 1 bedroom apt that was extremely spacious, had excellent air-con + fans, washer and dryers as well as a fully contained kitchen. Clifford and Shirma organise pick up and drop off from the airport as well as weekly shopping trips. As a solo female staying myself shirma could not have been more accommodating and reassuring, I felt safe and well looked after. Staying at shirma’s is also a great way to meet other medical students staying as she organises all your tours getting you reasonable prices. Shirma cooks weekly Sunday lunches that are amazing and a relaxing home cooked meal when you are far from your family. I would like the thank the host and her family again for providing the best elective I could have hoped for!!
