Tobago first; Trinidad second

We're making our first trip to Tobago in 3 weeks, and we've found the information on this site to be a huge help. My problem is: We're also spending several days in Trinidad, and I need advice there also. I realize this site is devoted strictly to Tobago, but does anyone know of a site with similar information about Trinidad? I especially have questions about touring Nariva Swamp.

I honestly think there is not a site as good as this on any
other holiday destination in the world

I've not yet found anything remotly comparable about Trinidad.
The official TIDCO site has little information about eco tourism, and
gives no contact information about touring Nariva swamp. The only
thing I can suggest to you is to contact Roger Neckles at [email protected]. Roger is the leading wildlife photographer
in Trinidad and offers personal tours. He may not conduct tours to the swamp personally, but could probably point you in the right direction.

Hello Sally

I visited the Nariva Swamp on a visit to Trinidad 3 years ago. There is a reasonable amount of information on the swamp in the Rough Guide to Trinidad and Tobago. This mentions several tour operators with contact numbers - I think I went with Wildways, tel 623 7332. It was very interesting. You need to go with a guide and most tours take you in on a kayak. If you have time in Trinidad, do not miss the Caroni Swamp also, and the Asa Wright Nature Reserve.
