Thank you + question re Diving course for beginners

Post by Jayne L »

Thanks to all of you who responded to my 'newbie' questions. Much appreciated. It took me a while to find where my questions had been posted without following the email notification links!

One more question - anyone know of a reputable, eco-friendly and reasonably priced diving company for a beginner's diving course? Staying in the Arnos Vale area.

PS - I think myTobago is a fantastic website - I'm becoming addicted to it and I haven't even visited Tobago yet! :)

Thank you
Jayne

Hi Jayne

I know what you mean about the site being addictive - I'm totally hooked!

Although there is excellent snorkelling at Arnos Vale, there is no dive operation based there. Given the nature of scuba diving, it does not pay to risk cutting corners, so my advice would be to contact the one of the best dive masters on the island - Extra Divers, World of Watersports, R&Sea or Undersea Tobago.

Diving course for beginners

Just to add to Steve's reply - most of the dive shops will pick you up from wherever you are staying, so location is not so much of a problem.

Enjoy the diving - Tobago is a great location for it!

The dive operators at Stone Haven bay were good with us. Adventure Eco Divers. I would recommend them, and they are just around the corner from you. We dived off Anos vale 3 times while we were there.

Hope this helps

Hi Jayne,
I dived with Undersea Tobago "www.underseatobago.com" a couple of years ago They were fine and I plan on diving with them again when I return in October. I was not training my self but did see them working with a lad who was doing his open water and they looked really good.

The are located at the Coco Reef Hotel

Hope this helps
