Hi all,

Arvi, surely I meant "DONNERSTAG" thursday (what the *§$% is Thuesday??? maybe I was drunk...).

Did you watch that game? The Soca Warriors played that good!!! =D> =D> I was close to a heart attack! ](*,) It should have gone out like 1:1 but the English were more lucky.... 8-[ and you could see the English were very scared of the Trinbagos!

Not the end of the world. There is another chance. =D>

I'm a Soooooca Warrior !!!!

Normally I am ecstatic after an England win but not this morning, we had a Tobago party last night and a crowd of friends enjoyed our version of the food we normally eat in Castara (less the kingfish) but after the win I made jugs of rum punch and thats the reason for not being happy this morning.
I am sure that somebody said that you do not get a hangover with Puncheon Rum well I would swap heads with them today as mine is thumping.
I thought T&T put up a tremendous effort last night and they could definitely get a result against Paraguay next week which would be the icing on the cake for both their supporters and a large number of neutrals who now have them as their second team.
The only good thing I can come up with is that I have now finished the 2 bottles of Punceheon so when we win the cup I will have to celebrate with something different.
Regards
Paul

Well, If an English man supports the T&T team against England I'm sure he should have a lot of rumpunch, to clear his throat for shouting and singing the "Soca Warrior"-song

But if you think you have to make rumpunch with Puncheon (not less than 75 % alc.!!!!) you also have to take the hangover....
Why does nobody listen to me when I said: stay away from this stuff? :P

OK, if T&T wins against Paraguay.... (no, no, not what you think!) ... I will buy a whole case of Carib (which is very expensive in Germany) and celebrate a whole week :-)

Keep your fingers croissed!

I got it wrong

Tobago performed well (defensively) But did not get the goal I thought they would get ... John Terry saw to that ... what a clearance =D> !!

England performed badly ](*,) ... 2 goals down on my prediction.

So here it is ... T&T will beat Paraguay  (who have given up!) 2 - 0 ... England will thrash Sweden for the first time in nearly 40 years.

This means that the Soca Warriors could qualify over Sweden and play Ecuador. 8)

Quarter finals? ... hmmmm :-k

Lets hope that England can make it happen for T&T :-$

Oh Gisela,

How lucky you are to get Carib in Germany. Here in Canada, I have yet to come across it.

If T&T win to Paraguay, I may have to go back to Castara and enjoy one there. I'm so excited for them to be in the World Cup.

Any reason to go back to paradise is good for me.

Heres to the Warriors!!!

Hi L.A.

I was searching for Carib since years in Germany and then I got a good advice for a website. The first thing I did was to order a case (24 bottles, or bockles?). 5 Euro a bottle what means 35 TT$. Well, it was worth it but still did not taste as good as is does on little bay or at Codrington's in Castara.

You are right, we have to go back to enjoy our Carib. Hope to see you there!

Cheers

Oh so sad
But I'm sure Germany will keep the T&T Soca Warriors in mind as good fighters and party providers. Everywhere they played (like Dortmund and Nuernberg) people will remind the nice athmosphere and how the Trinbagos can party :-)
Especially in Rotenburg an der Wümme where they stayed for their visit people cried when they had to leave.

Hope to see you next time Soca Warriors!

It was really interesting to hear on BBC Radio Five that the people who work for the station and were based in the towns where T&T were playing said they were glad when they got moved as they found it impossible to continue partying at the rate that the Soca Warriors supporters did.
They really helped to give the world cup a great atmosphere.
Come on England

seems like noone was writing here anymore since the english had to pack their bags, as if the cup was over
germans out now, too so noone interested anymore?
we should place some bets in four years, lets hope T7T, england and germany make it back...who else is writing here,,,the US... and some skandinavian friends, what happened to you game?

since you know how hard it is to get the flags when the cup is on, get your T7T flag now when you visit... see you about that in four years. too.

World Cup

Post by Bob White »

Hi Brian,

Think we all lost the will to live or write about England's shocking performance in the World Cup.

However the Soca Warriors were real stars. I'll raise a Carib to a re-match in 2010!

Will come and book a trip with you this summer and then we can always discuss the football!

Hi folks,

and Brian, say hello to Steph for me, it was a good last game from the Germans (3:1 )

I guess we should really write about the Soca Warriors and not all the other teams who did play horrible bad. (I will not say any name. The ones will know by themselves).

I enjoyed the whole World Cup and will until the last game tonight and hope, you also do/did.

Just keep Germany in an good mind after all

Best whises and have a cold Carib on me, Ali!

Posts about unimportant trivia, such as the World Cup, carry a penalty of -100 posts.

Anyway, we were not robbed - we were simply emabarassed. Mind you I've never seen the moron flags removed from cars and houses as quickly, so some good came out of it I guess. :P :P :P
