that was a very nice way to say that carol... =D>

what do you feed them shorty, they never seem to run from you and the camera  I don't try to get pictures of them though. I just watch those guys on the beach every day, going out fishing, playing soccer on the beach... it is amazing how a whole nation can walk so upright and proud, obviously being totally happy with themselves... I guess we should take that as a good example...

great pictures you all. even being here I don't make it into the forest or to the waterfalls that often, so I love to have a look at your pics anytime... keep them coming!

Dear Tobagomaniacs,

David, there is no equality in the world  I also noticed the beautiful ladys but they are more shy than the guys and were not that happy being pictured (except of the lady on red on Sunday School :D )

Steph, I don't know why they let me take photos. I just ask and nobody ever said no :-) maybe it is because they are proud and upright.

Carol, thank you! I thought that Togbago has so many good looking men that all ladys in the world shoud see them.

David, Jill and Bill, I still belive you are artists with the camera. One of my friends who joined me in February made more than 1000 photos but I choose only 5 or 6 of them because the rest was just not worth to show

Will come back to this site and look at the links as often as possible. I love it!

Cheers
Gisela

Our personal thanks to all who have posted pics. They are great. And although we've been to Tobago a few times before, we've learned about a few new places & things to see.

We have seen so many photos of Castara that we are now wondering whether we really need to get on that plane next week. But I think we will! Look out for more pics in about 3 weeks.

Gill,

It seems with the Kodak Photo Gallery you have to 'allow' people to view your photos by adding their email address in Friends or Groups. It may be easier to upload your photos to a different website to allow public access.

Hi Gill,

publishing your photos is easy. Just open a free account at a webservice like http://www.sevenload.com or http://www.flickr.com, upload your photos and post the link of
your photo gallery here by using the URL tag below the "Subject" field.
Don't forget to push the "Close Tags" button for a correct display.

Looking forward to see your holiday memories!

Greetings,
Roland

photos. if at first you dont succeed.

Post by GillMathews »

Hi everyone. Well here is my next attempt to show you a few of my pictures from Tobago this year. I predicted that it would take me hours and it certainly has so far  If you are able to see them, (34 pics) I apologise in advance for them being in a rather random order. The Flickr photo management system was not as easy to use as Kodak Easyshare (prob just me!). Anyway it has been a learning curve for me and I know for next time to Upload pics in my prefered sequence of viewing. Mostly they are familiar places to regular forum users but I hope you like them. Please let me know if you can access them or not.(got my fingers crossed). If not, HELP! Still not sure about the link display bit.
Thanks Gill :)

Hi Gill,
You've succeeded! It's always nice to see photos of Tobago; it makes the next trip seem a bit closer.

Thanks for the message Gill. Hooray :!: Thats great, I`m basking in a little glow of success now!. I have lived here almost all my life apart from a few years when I did my nurse training and stayed in London for 10 years. As you know it`s a bit small town and sleepy as well as being very green and countryfied. maybe thats why Tobago appeals to me so much. The whole poulation of Tobago is roughly the same as the population of Letchworth! I love looking at everyones pictures aswell for the same reason. Shame there have to be such long working gaps between holidays.Daydreaming again.

Thanks David, Will have a look at that. Flickr offer a new uploading tool but I wasn`t sure whether it had enough security settings to risk installing it. (scared of bugs n viruses).
Giving your age away if you remember the dry times! but yeah we have got several pubs and wine bars these days. A few nice eateries, a surfin cafe and even a Costa Coffee house. Gosh whatever next! Who doesn`t remember the corset factory!!!!. STEADY. The building has been completely refurbed with the original frontage restored to it's former glory and the gardens relaid to the original plan, as have the rose gardens next to the town hall. All part of the towns Centenery celebrations recently.

Gill

PS. Was listening to your tunes at about 01.30 this am. Brill!!

Hello Gill
Yet again we are seeing some really good photos of the island.
I wondered if David Watkins would like to tell us how this bottle seems to be empty.

Hi Gill

Lovely photos! ':D'

I downloaded the Flickr Uploader and have found it really easy, you just drag and drop and away you go. Haven't had any problems with it at all.

To put your pics in the order that you want them click on Organise then Sets then Create a New Set and in the new window it is now possible to move the pictures around. When you're happy with the results just save as a Set. Once you have created a Set you can upload pics direct into it via the Flickr Uploader. Hope that makes sense and is of some use to you. (I spent hours working it out).
