We enjoyed Ambassador House for one week in March as a large extended family (10 in all). In short, Ambassador House did not disappoint in the least. In fact, the house surpassed our expectations. This villa is special. Unlike many other rentals that are in high density developments, Ambassador House's spacious grounds make you feel like you have your own private tropical garden compound. The villa is also built to a high standard and works superbly for large groups. The views, garden, privacy, breezes and constant birdsong combine to create an exotic and relaxing atmosphere that I have not experienced on any of my other many caribbean holidays. The housekeeper LesleyAnn is pure gold and her cooking is the best on the island. Guests of Ambassador House must appreciate that this is a family home, not an investment property focused singularly on turning a profit. Some features may not be as glamorous as one would find elsewhere (bathroom fixtures are simple and functional, furniture is practical). However, for the reasons mentioned above, Ambassador House is the place to stay for sophisticated travellers, who know and love the West Indies. While your own vehicle is essential, it is conveniently located to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Bacolet Bay. Grocery stores, banks etc are all a 10 min drive away. We hope to return again as a family next year for a longer visit. In the meantime, we will cherish our memories of a beautiful vacation at Ambassador House.
