Gatwick Hotels
Can anyone recommend a good hotel at gatwick to stay over prior to our flight to Tobago. Do any of these hotels offer car parking for the duration of our holiday?

Hi Ann,
We usually stay at the Premier Travel Inn at the North Terminal. It's fine, perfectly comfortable, has a restaurant on site and it only about £50 for the room.
It's also 5 minute walk to North Terminal where you can take the 3 minute, free of charge, shuttle train to catch your flight from South Terminal.
There is a travel Inn at the South Terminal although it's further away from the airport than the one at the North Terminal and it's nice not to have to rely on shuttle buses!
Most of the hotels are situated at the North Terminal. I am sure if you have a look on the website or call them they will be able to advise you on Parking - although it may be cheaper to go with one of the long term carparks at Gatwick.

We stay at the Gatwick Hilton and book either through Superbreak or ABC holiday extras. Superbreak now give 16 days free parking which is relevant to long haul as you otherwise end up paying for one day. The garden restaurant does a very good three course buffet/carvery for £25 per head and you walk straight from the hotel foyer into departures. The parking is at the summer special car park at north terminal ,which is serviced by a 24 hour / 20 minute frequency bus service to south terminal

I would also recommend the Gatwick Hilton with inclusive car parking for 15 days (was £129). But take a bottle of wine with you to drink in the room (and a corkscrew) and eat before you arrive - the prices there are astronomical !! But walking to departures in the morning is a dream. No hassle whatsoever.

last year my partner and i (and kids) stayed at the Ramada Plaza hotel at Gatwick prior to our departure to Tobago,we had a family room with parking for a week and all for £70,good restaurant too.
We'll be staying there again in April just before another trip to Tobago. Two weeks this time which is slightly more expensive for the parking but still excellent value for money.
