Best supermarket and pharmacy on way to Castara?

Post by Julia C. »

We're flying out next Thursday  and are due to land at 14.35 (fingers crossed) we want to stop on route to Castara to pick up supplies from a supermarket and a pharmacy. Where would it be best to ask the taxi driver to take us to?

Hi Julia

Only one choice really - Penny Savers at Canaan, just 5 mins from the airport. There's a reasonable pharmacy, Pharmax, in the little mall, almost directly opposite. If they don't have what you want, there's another pharmancy, Sinanaan's, just a few hundred metres back towards the airport, but on the same side. There's also a good fruit and veg store just 100m before Penny Savers, again on the same side.

You should be able to get everything you want in that immediate area.

Have a wonderful trip if we don't 'talk' before you leave.

Thanks Steve - I thought I'd read about a pharmacy and Penny Savers at Canaan, but just wanted to double check.

Getting very excited now and wondering if I really need to take 5 pairs of shorts and staring in horror at the amount of lotions and potions already gathered!
