Flt schedule and return tix from POS to TAB

Post by Ute »

I'm arriving 20:24 At POS via American Airlines on June 29. I'd like to hop over to Tobago that night still.. Is that possible? I tried accessing Tobago Express and BWI schedules, but can't get responses on the net.
Also sent an email request to Yes tourism, to see if they can help with either buying return tix or help with accomodations in POS if flight is a no go, I'm currently waiting for a response.

Any thoughts, ideas out there?
I saw the 'late flight' posting from January 05, but things/flight schedules might have changed and i don't know how that got resolved.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Dear Ute--

You're going to have to overnight in Trinidad. The last flight over to Tobago leaves 45 min. after your flight arrives. Stay at Leo's Place. He runs a clean B&B and will pick you up. He has a website.

Thank you Joanne. I tried to send this directly to you via PM, but it's not working on this board anymore.
I will attempt to find the website for Leo's Trinidad B&B. Hope it's not expensive, my budget is not large.

I got tickets from Yes Tourism just the other day for flights to/from Trinidad/Tobago. Everything was handled very smoothly. The first e-mail took overnight for a reply. I know what your saying about Tabago Express and BWIA. Got nowhere trying to do it myself.

Dear Ute--
The website for Leo's Place is:http://www.geocities.com/leosplace_tt/. He charges $US45-50 B&B. It's airconditioned and very clean. He charges extra to pick you up from the airport and take you back in the morning --$15. He's only 5min. from the airport. I'd call him to make the booking. He's not very good about responding to emails! He and his wife are really nice people. He only takes cash-- US or TT. We booked for 2 nites-- one coming & going. On the way back, we took a late afternoon flight. After we had cleaned up. Leo took us over to the Trincity Mall. We wandered around & then had dinner at a Tex-Mex (of all things!) restaurant that was near the food court. Good food & not expensive. After a couple of hours, Leo came & picked us up. I think we paid him $5 to do that. Great fun to see what they sell at a Trinidadian mall!

Hi Joanne,
Leos place sounds good and affordable. Unfortunately the link you have there is 'inactive'..or so it says .
I tried to find Leo's place via 'Google', but no luck.
You wouldn't have the phone number lying around by chance now, would you?

Dear Ute--
I've activated my email on the forum, so you can contact me directly with any further questions. Leo's number is: 1-868-640-0117. If you use 10-10-987, it will cost you about $1 per minute. Leo has pvt. bathrooms, ceiling fans & full breakfast for $50US for 2 people.

Hi all,

Just be aware that the Tobago Express schedule is all over the place at the moment because one of their planes is out of service. Last Monday week, it had to return to Piarco with landing gear problems and the nosewheel collapsed on landing (minor injuries only to passengers).

Since then the service has been cancelled; reinstated; cancelled again for further checks and is now running - but at a reduced rate. (This was as at Wednesday when we flew from Tobago.)

They seem to be operating the service on a first come, first served basis regardless of the flight you are actually booked on.

There has been quite a reaction in the local press to this incident, and a lot of concern that news of this getting out may affect tourism generally.
