Keep up the good work!

Post by P. Smith »

Hello Tobago fans,

having browsed myTobago on and off over the last couple of years, I have just registered with the forum and wanted to say what a tremendous resource the site and the forum is.

I first visited Tobago in 1991 on a university expedition and have been back in the last two years with student groups. I am due to be back in September for two weeks. The information on here has been very useful in planning these trips.

Best regards,
Phil S

I'd tell you that it's hard work, but I don't think you would believe me!

Hi Phil

I have a friend - Dr Richard Ladle - who regularily visits Tobago with his students, on bio-diversity projects.

He is now with Oxford, but spent some years at Edinburgh.
It's a long shot, but you may have bumped into him.

I know from spending some time with Rich during his field trips that a massive amount of work goes into the preparation for each trip and once there, it's not exactly a holiday.

By the way - which courses do you teach and how do I enrole???
Field trips were never like that when I was a student.

Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve,

A colleague of mine knows Richard and we hooked up with him last year. He was on a research trip that time, so had managed to get away without students! Nevertheless, he was kind enough to give a seminar about his Tobago experiences for our students.
