1st Time visit advice

Post by Jake L »

My wife and I are thinking of going to Tobago for 2 weeks in Sept this year for the first time. I have seen the reviews of Castara and generally they seem fine. Would people recommend sept and this location? We are not looking for an all inclusive type resort, but more along the lines of a relaxing 2 weeks of chill out.

Castara holiday

Post by Jean Whieldon »

Hi - if you are after a wonderful place to chill out in Castara then have a look at http://www.castararetreats.com. I have an interest in this as I help the owners Steve and Sue manage their online bookings system but I also spent a month there earlier this year and just fell in love with the place - so much so that we only went away from the village three times! We were entranced by the birds and wildlife right on the doorstep and the incredible views both over the bay and out to the west. September is the rainy season but there's still lots of sunshine every day - up to seven hours with a couple of rain squalls sweeping through and maybe one or two days of steady rain during two weeks. Have a look and see what you think...
