Something Romantic

Hi Folks,

My wife and I are heading to Tobago in six weeks time for our 1st wedding anniversary. To mark this occasion we would like to do something special that we will always remember. We have been looking around lots of different websites for that something different to celebrate our anniversay but we just don't know what to do.

Is there anyone out there who could recommend something for us??

Hi Stuart,
A lot depends on which end of the Island you will be staying. There is plenty of scope for a romantic dinner for two almost anywhere At the Crown Pont end my choice would be Ru-B-Lou's because I'm sure the chocolate cake has aphrodisiac qualities.

If you’re after something really different a kayak trip around Lovers Bay and Charlotville for just the two of you would be something to remember.

Kayaking? That sounds interesting. We're going to have to look into that!!

We're staying in the Crown Point area of the Island. Whenever you where in the island of paradise, did you get up to anything, that you would recommend? Any tours? Any pubs? Any nice restaurants? Anything that is a must???!!!!

For me, Frankies Rum Punch Beach party was the highlight of our trip last year. So much so that we decided not to do it again when we went this year as it could not possibly have been as good as the first time we went. I suppose alot depends on who else is on the trip and whether they 'join in' and I guess we were very lucky.

Hi Louise,

We have stayed at both end Crown Point is good as there is a lot more going on but if you want to get away from it all the North end of the Island is a must.
Two restaurants worth looking at are the Kariwak and Ru-b-Lou's if you like posh stuff then Coco Reef is a must.

When we were there the first time we found a Taxi driver with and old red Holden that was his pride and joy and we hired him for he day for an Island tour lots of back roads lots of local stories it was a really great day.

Rachel the Romantic here!

Our most romantic thing (our honeymoon, in fact, since we got married on Tobago so were already in paradise!) was a helicopter trip round the island. Beautiful, stunning, amazing. It was with Hummingbird Helicopters.

Other romantic things:
Dinner at the Seahorse Inn. It overlooks the sea and is small enough to be intimate
Sunset at Castara
Coming back along the coast by boat as the sun is setting - after the rum punch party as someone else suggested, maybe?
Dinner at Café Coco is quite romantic
Also, dinner at Tamaras at the Coco Reef - a little bit dressy, and you could have cocktails on the verandah beforehand
The rainforest is quite romantic!
How about snorkelling over the incredible reef together, holding hands? Go on Cocomotion for the best day-trip out
Go to Speyside for the day and have lunch at one of the seafood restaurants which means rustic, old-fashioned romance

Where are you staying? Skinny dipping with a pina colada or rum punch in the pool could be quite romantic?

I'd say dinner out, and a helicopter ride if you can, though. OH, and the AMAZING sunset.

We've kept a record of everything that you've mentioned and will be taking it with us when we go.

It sounds like we'll have a fantastic time whatever we get upto and just now can't wait to get there.
