Adventure Eco Divers

Post by Graham B »

Hi!

Off to Tobago in a week or so for first time. Virgin Holidays diving tuition is provided by Adventure Eco Divers.

As a complete novice, I thought I'd see if any one has used them and what they were like?

Cheers!

Hi Graham

Middle of the road. As a novice, you'll be fine with them. They're adequate, competent and most reports are good. They're just not amongst the top runners, but this would only really affect you if you were a qualified diver.

Have fun!

Use R & Sea Divers Co Ltd. Outstanding.

Have a good time!

You're absolutely right, Richard, but Graham is on a package with Virgin which includes diving. Yes, there's no contest between the two services, but if you've got one free within your holiday package, then it would be daft to pay full whack just to go with one of the top outfits. Adventure Eco Divers are perfectly adequate for novice diving.

Thanks!

My aim is to use the included deal for the basic Open Water cert and then look around for the Advanced during the trip!

Hi Graham

Your best bet, then, is to read our Diving articles in Out & About/Activities/Diving. Have fun!

Well, I'm back having had a brilliant holiday and done more diving than I ever expected.

Adventure Eco Divers provided an excellent service. In my opinion, to a higher rating than the 3 star rating on this site.

As a complete novice, the full PADI training was thoroughly provided, and I never sensed there was any attempt to push me at pace faster than I was ready to go out.

Hotel picks up were made daily, and a wide selection of dive sites was made throughout the trip. Regular trips to Speyside were offered for more competent divers, allowing most of the north and west coast sites to be visited on demand.

All in all, an excellent service. Highly recommend them.
