Whist driving through Bath a couple of months ago i slowed down to let a lorry pull out of a petrol station,it was a beer delivery lorry and on the back (amongst others) was the Carib logo...i couldnt believe it....i pulled up alongside at traffic lights and asked the driver where i could obtain some, he told me that he delivered to an offlicence in Bristol (where i live!),next day i went along and stocked up on a few bottles!!

Lucky Andy
Hi Andy, Nick and all the others.
Lucky Andy! I ordered 24 bottles of Carib at the website, Nick (thanks again!!!) told me and now waiting for my favourite beer to arrive (they ask me to confirm my order today what I did).
I will order a lot more next year over the World Cup and hopefully will watch all games, T&T are playing, supporting them with my crossed fingers and my shoutings while clearing my throat with a cold Carib
Sometimes live can be really beautiful (even in winter)
Cheers

isn't it amazing that there is almnost no other topic that lasts as long as the beer-questions... they must put something in this beer that makes you want more. since I can get it all the time, I now feel for a nice german beer and a darkk bread with a german sausage...yummy...
you always want what you don't have.
cheers gisela and all the other abroad-carib-drinkers....

Carib shortage?
Well after extensive research I can assure you all that there is no shortage of Carib, at least in Castara, I did try to create a shortage but they just kept on finding more for me....thanks to Debbie at Cascreole, Sharon at The Boathouse, Wallace etc....sorry I failed miserably!( sorry quite staggeringly happily actually)

Hi,
Over here in Athens Carib is widely available. In bars, clubs, some restaurants, even cinemas. I spent half the summer after we returned from Tobago sipping chilled Caribs in open-air cinemas, ever so popular in Greece. Talk about nostalgia! That said, I always preferred Stag, and, even better, Mackeson, the dark one.

Sorry to hear the Island has dried up again. I didn't realise this thread would run for so long when I started it. I sit here though with 12 bottles of Carib by side, sourced in the UK with the greatest of ease. I would willingly swap places with you David and suffer the Carlsberg. Hope the shortage ends soon.

But would it taste the same in the UK? If you are pining for a taste before your next holiday, I just found some available here: http://booze-uk.com/buk/booze/?bid=1575

It really seems like there was a "wet" Christmas and "Old Years Eve" in Tobago, especially Castara... Well I had my Carib here in Germay, importet from Trinidad and hat a little Caribbean OYE... Only the teperature was wrong
Happy new year to all of you and hold on to this side (maybe with a little donation to support?) ti keep it alive
Cheers
