The Castara Kid?
What next ... Milky Bars?
David, you have been a sheer joy to work with ... what I am going to do when you have to come back?
Keep up the reports ... sure we will meet one day and have a Carib v Rum Punch session during an outbreak of Liquid Sunshine ...
... by the way ... erm ... was it you that found and consequently posted my underpants on eBay? ... or should I just put that down to a bit of 'hanky panty' on the part of the editor?
Weather still looking good.
Regards

hanky panty!
Hi all,
Paul, do you really belive, David would change from Carib to milk? Never ever!
What happened to the panty?
you sold them on ebay? Somebody sold them on ebay? for how much??
Last time I mentioned the sandfly-panty I was told to stop it.
Go on with you weather report, Paul. It's great but forget about the underware
And David: your weather comments are excellent!
Cheers

Good morning,it is 10am and the sky is a beautiful blue with a few low, whispy clouds coming off the rain forest.Once again there is more cloud beyond MT Dillon(this seems to be a break line as we will have rain and the other side not,or vice versa). The sea built up yesterday pm. and is still fairly rough with Heavenly bay getting the brunt of it. Although rough, once outside the breakers visibility is quite good.

Hi Carib Cowboy
It is looking good.
There is still some wispy moisture coming from the south west and overriding the trades but it should not amount to much more than an occasional light shower if that ... more likely cloud.
Time to hang the 'undergarments' out in the sun again eh?
Regards

Well yesterday was a good day except for a couple of showers around midday. The sea yesterday was huge.It was breaking over the large rocks to the right of Little bay and lapping up against the Cascreole!!!The beach was off limits with red flags everywhere. Some idiots still tried to go in the water though.Today, just a few whisps of low white cloud, otherwise it is beautiful again. The sea is a lot calmer and the red flags are gone, but there are now signs forbidding the hanging of undergarments!!
The river now is back to where it was in Steve's aerial photo,
All for now, from Castara, this is your corespondant signing of...Bye

Firstly David, surely the THA need to pass legislation before they can ban the display of undergarments for drying or airing purposes ... this is a lengthy process ... how did they 'cotton' on so quick?
Secondly ... good news ... the weather looks Ok for at least the next 48 hours barring the odd shower ... perks of the trades.
Thirdly, the trades have been strong and that explains the high seas, probably coupled with high tides associated with the moon ... it is rare to have waves touching the Cascreole ... and ... I would have been out there jumping in the waves ... cracking !
Fourthly ... the waves should stay low from now as the trades decrease ... High pressure is building east and moving away from the Caribbean and therefore this will weaken the trades and allow some calm to set in ...
... time for snorkelling ...
... idea ... find a distinctive coral formation about 100 metres out and gently lower a crate of caribs (with a bottle opener) next to the formation ... make it easy to locate ... saves having to carry a crate out with you for snorkelling sessions all the time eh? ... just collect a bottle and rest on a protruding rock for a while ... that's what I call first class planning !!
... don't forget to bring the empty bottle back when you have finished !!
Cheers

hmmmmmmmm,I'm a bit concerned about this reputation I am being given as a Carib Craver. Thanks Paul,Steph and others!
Yesterday was an absolutely cracking day, clear skies virtually all daylight hours with just a light shower at midday-not enough to get wet!Today has started like yesterday and the sea is a lot calmer. As to pants,
I believe the requisite legislation was passed under the emergency powers-safety of the realm act!!!!
All for now from glorious Castara,

Hi all,
it took a while until I recognise the "undergarments" (had to look into my dictionary
)
I'm reading you posts almost every day and I really thank David for his information about the flag:
"the red flags are gone, but there are now signs forbidding the hanging of undergarments"
By the way, Paul, why do you have to dry them? I thought you clean them without water while ironing and ....
Don't waste the Carib in the see, David, better to drink them on the beach. If you need to take them with you while snorkeling or anything elsewise ask Brenton for the little "green mattress" and tell him hello from shorty. He keeps this for me and I appreciate to rent it to you.
Cheers

Hi David
The trades are reducing so much calmer but allowing a little moisture to move off the Mainland so there could have been a little overnight rain and it may be a little cloudy first thing this morning.
The trades look set to pick up strongly over the weekend with a return of heavy seas.
The fair weather looks as if it has set in well into the middle of next week.
Regards

Hi David
Lots of moisture is being allowed to move off the mainland as the trades have died down.
I have seen some showers in the last few hours and there could be some more rain overnight ... maybe time for a cup of tea?
The trades should pick up again soon and blow all the nonsense away.
Weekly update tomorrow.

Hi David
As predicted in the Weekly Update on Liquid Sunshine ... I sense you have had rather a soggy day ... and numerous cups of tea !!
The worst of the rain seems to be over but there are numerous scattered showers moving down from the north west associated with a trough that is causing all kinds of trouble in central Caribbean areas (i.e.; Haiti, Jamaica).
These showers should peter out as they approach Tobago and eventually fresher and clearer conditions should bring better weather for the rest of week.

Hello Paul,and greetings from C'ville.
Well last week the weather was wonderful-clear skies and blue seas, the occasional shower early morning, the sky t night so clear you colud reach and pluck the stars from the firmament with a beautiful gibbeous moon,so beautiful.
The sea was exceptionally calm so much so that there were few breakers. The stingrays came right up to the shore in about a foot of water!!
The weather today is a mixture of small puffy clouds and sunshine,it is also very humid.
All for now,the ex-Castara Kid(
