Birdies Nest review

My boyfriend and I recently returned from our first trip to Tobago, and stayed for two weeks at Birdies Nest (16th-30th March 2006).

We stayed in apartment 3 for the first ten days of our stay as we couldn't get apartment 2 (you can see which is which from the photo on the rates page of Birdies nest website). The facilities were perfect - air con, sun loungers, and a fantastic view!

For the last period of our stay we moved to apartment 2. There are fantastic views from the kitchen, and bedroom - and you can have a sundowner on your patio with a great view of the sunset. Since returning home, doing the dishes without looking out onto the Caribbean sea just isn't the same!

Prince and his mum could not have been more helpful, and from what Prince says, he is going to be doing some work to Birdies Nest in the near future to improve it further. The plans sound great, with more landscaping etc, and improvements to the apartments.

Amusingly, on our last night, Prince asked us whether we had any suggestions to improve the accomodation - our only suggestions were to have a couple more wine glasses in the apartments, and a few more sunloungers - Prince promised us he'd get more wine glasses, and already plans to buy more loungers!! If that's all we could think of then it must have been good!

Birdies is a perfect place for those who want clean, good value apartments in a perfect location - we saw three leatherback turtles during our stay!
