world cup soccer
During the first two weeks of the world cup in Germany, we are in Tobago for our holiday.
Leo Beenhakker - a soccer coach from Holland - is the coach for Trinidad and Tobago during the world cup. So may we assume that we can see some soccermatches on television at Tobago, in a bar, our apartment (with cable television) or something like that?
Cheers, Edwin

Hi Edwin
Yes - It's me, from over on the fishing (sorry - activities) section, where I normally reside.
During our recent stay, I noticed that the island appears to be gearing itself up for the World Cup. The Socca Warriors came in just after we arrived and the place was as close to hysteria as Tobago gets (a few flags and supporters at the airport).
I would imagine that most bars and hotels will have the games available on SKY TV, throughout the series (or is that a cricket term?), so feel confident that you will catch the main matches. T&T's games will be covered somewhere, for sure.
Cheers
Steve

Take only photos - leave only footprints. I like that concept.

Hi All,
I would love to watch the games in Tobago but unfortuantely have to do this in Germany. Never the less the first match against Sweden was very good. I was really impressed how good the Soca Warriors played (though I don't have any idea of football/soccer).
GO ON LIKE THIS SOCA WARRIORS and you will also beat the English (sorry folks)

Well done SOCA WARRIORS! (and of course Leo Beenhakker, or Don Leo as his nickname is here in Holland)
It was great to see how much the soccer players were fighting for their country. I really like that! And especially the keeper Shaka Hislop & the best player Dwight Yorke.
Tomorrow we are leaving (finally)
And this result is an extra pleasure...
Edwin
At this moment we are quite nervous for the orange guys this afternoon, but that is something else...

Hi guys!
Got back at 3am this morning from Germany watching England beat Paraguay and we are going back on Thursday to see our team take on you Soca Warriors!
I don't know how many T&T players still play in very hot climates but the weather suggests it will be HOT HOT HOT so the Soca boys may be better acclimatised!
Are there any of you on this forum actually FROM T & T and if so, are there any particular things I can collect for you in germany on the match day? I am coming to Tobago for the first time in December so can bring some souvenirs perhaps!
Come on England!!!!
PS We're not the animals the press say we are!!

Go for goals !
Thank you Chris for the Soca Warrior song. I was just starting to search for it, when I saw your post! Will play in on Thuesday in Bonn, when I watch the match in the city with hopefully a lot of other T&T/Soca Warriors fans.
Lets shout them to the world cup !!!

Soca warriors
And, living in the Northern wastes of Sweden I have to bow gracefully and admit that the TT team was the best. Very good "second" goalie.
I suppose this is what comes out of my nation raising everyone to believe that excellence is something bad while being mediocre is good...
Best of luck Soca warriors!

5000 £? That's a lot of caribs.
I cross the fingers with you, because I would like to watch Germany - T&T in the next round. (Means Germany will be first in group A and T&T second in group B or vice versa)
