I will be visiting some friends born and raised on Tobago and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions of things I might bring from the States (that will fit in my luggage) that are difficult to get on the island.
Thanks

oh, at the moment blocks and cement are hard to get...
no, really, it is not that underdeveloped here... bring you friend some cool cottonshorts from basketball or baseball teams, a base cap from you area or so, they might like that.
otherwise ask them if they need something. vitamin supplements and stuff are very expensive here, but otherwise.... bring a good mood and invite them for a carib or rum when here...
enjoy

Hi Pete!
Being Scottish, I usually take some unusual whisky, the brands not normally found in Duty Free shops in the UK.
Extra large, bright T shirts for the guys ( not because my friends are huge but you can never, ever have too many comfy t-shirts) and costume jewellery for the ladies - necklaces and bracelets are best because you can never remember who has pierced ears and who hasn't, and you don't have to worry about different sizes!!!!!
And as you will probably be well aware, girlies never have too much jewellery.....................it's just how we are...
Have a brilliant holiday
