Hi Gill - and Jane

Can you see it now? All I've done is change the name of the image. It will be interesting to know if that's done the trick.

Hi Steve,

Sorry - still don't get the pics on our desktop. We have had real problems with spam and attempted virus attacks on this machine - so I guess some of the "anti" software that's been installed is attacking non-threatening stuff like this as well.

Never mind - I can see the pics on my laptop - so I can get my order organised in the next couple of days!

Hi Steve

Sorry, still can't see the caps. I will try and remember where I have to add MyTobago, it's either MSN or Norton.

Hi Gill and Jane

Try it now.

You gave me the clue, Gill, as soon as you mentioned Norton. I'm assuming you are refering to that nasty, resource-consuming, flaky, intrusive package, Norton Internet Security. Pity its so essential and the best of a very bad bunch. Anyway, don't start me on a rant. If you have Ad Blocking turned on, it would have blocked the picture. It threw me because the way I read it, only the collage was being blocked (and there's no way that any program could know, or care, that it was a collage of shots). In practise it would have been blocking ALL photos on the page, not just the collage.

Anyway, knowing the probable source of the problem provided the solution. Norton is such rubbish that it took all of 15 seconds to work out a way to get round it.

Hi Steve

YES!!! The pic shows on the welcome page AND the collage in your message. Very nice too.

" Guess it was that nasty, resource-consuming, flaky, intrusive package, Norton Internet Security."

Yes, I do have NIS and it's a very sore point at times, particularly when my husband ALSO loaded Sytemworks, Ghost and Go Back a few weeks ago- PC ground to a virtual standstill so they had to come off! I do have the ad blocking on but can allow named sites - problem is I have got to find out how to do it again!

Many thanks for sorting it out.

Hi Gill

It is quite amazing how those Symantec programs can drag a machine down. You would get twice the life out of a machine without them. Sadly, the anti-virus protection is an essential. However, the ad-blocking is a joke. You will be amazed how much genuine content you will never see because of it. As I proved, it is the easiest thing in the world to work-around, so it simply falls into the camp of a typical xxxxxxxx hype and bullxxxx intended to con people into buying the product. The only worse product is Macfee. I tried that a few years back and found that within two months my spam had doubled. Coincidence? A couple of clients mentioned the same to me. I really don't trust them. You can almost give credibility to those who say that most viruses on the market were invented by the firms who sell anti-virus software.

You are so right Steve. Most of the anti virus programs block almost everything. Mine fortuantely not and I received the two caps yesterday!
They are AMAZING! I will never take any other caps with me when I go back to Tobago.
Thank you so much for this new possibility to show the people the connection to mytobago!

Cheers

PS: will send a photo soon

Hi Jane

Sorry, but you caps didn't go off until Saturday morning. Sorry for the day's delay, but Jill was in hospital under the surgeon's knife last week and I spent most of Thursday and Friday at the hospital, so got behind somewhat.

I'm delighted that everyone else is getting there orders rapidly and are pleased with the caps.

I did receive one complaint yesterday, though. A reader, who shall remain nameless, complained that I had neglected to include any instructions and he was not sure which way round to wear the cap.

The lack of instructions was very remiss of me. Apart from anything else, there should have been a safety warning in each package. So, for clarity, may I please confirm details here:

It is absolutely essential that myTobago caps are ONLY worn with the peak facing forward. The caps are fitted with auto-detection sensors and will self-destruct (possibly causing further damage to the wearer's head) if the peak is reversed OTHER than for very short periods of time whilst a camera is in front of the wearer's eye.

WHOOPEE!

Yes, you've guessed it. The caps I ordered have arrived - so now Hugo & I will have the most stylish headgear in the Maldives next year (and of course when we next return to Tobago!).

Thanks for organising everyting Steve - and best wishes to Jill for a speedy recovery.

Just received my cap, thank you. Are you going to do a kids size cap? My two kids were very upset when they tried mine on. It doesn't adjust down for them. If you do it doesn't look right at the back! No hurry, but it's on their Xmas lists!!!!!

Looking forward to bump into My Tobago cap wearers next April. What will I do with my Tilley now?

Anthony.

Hi Anthony

Sorry, but currently no plans for other colours or smaller kids sizes. We'll have to see how it goes, but I've only issued about 18 so far and I won't even recover my initial outlay until I've moved more than twice that.

The idea of a cap photo board could be a good idea though. How about starting it with a picture of you in it for your forum avatar? Just send me the photo and I will resize it for you.

Hi friends of mytobago..info,

I received my caps and very happy with them. Sorry I can't wear them now in Tobago but have to wait until February 2007 but then I will start counting caps!

Sorry Roger, I didn't saw your posting. Sure I would like to have a t-shirt but I discussed this with Steve already about a year ago. It is much more difficult than to organize the caps.
Sorry, I still did not send a photo, still waiting for some sunshine to take one :-(

Cheers

Hi Folks

I shall be off to Tobago for 6 weeks this weekend (3rd February). While I am away, I'm afraid we shall be unable to supply any myTobago caps.

So, if anyone would like a cap and want delivery before late March, then may I please ask you to order now.

If any of our Tobago readers want caps - drop me an email and I'll bring them over with me.
