Hi

I am so sorry to hear that. It might be useful to post details of how you have been let down and by whom.

I'm afraid that as far as I know, there are only a couple of photographers/vieographers on the island. To be honest I couldn't name any, personally. Hopefully others might have suggestions, but it would be helpful to know who has let you down so that others don't suggest that name.

My best advice would be to contact Marie Daines at Tobago Weddings ([email protected]).

Good luck!

Thanks,P Strange for your reply. That would be a great help, and good luck on 4th November.

Steve,I will let you know who have been the good and the bad.So far arrangements have gone well with the florist, additional accommodation, car rental, reception venue, church. The lady making the cake was nearly a problem but we've managed to come to an acceptable arrangement. It has just been the photographer, but the wedding is 01 January,so I will let you know in due course.

Once again, your website is excellent, and has been an invaluable tool in planning for the wedding. Many thanks

We got married at the end of April 2006 (6-months ago on Friday) and used Marie Dilworth (http://www.tobagoweddings.com) as our wedding planner. Marie took all the stress out of organising an overseas wedding and provided everything even cheeper than our Trinidad friends could find - I can't recommend her enough!!

As for a photographer, we used Charles Scott - very professional and great photographs. Feel free to take a look at his photos on our Flickr account under "Our Wedding Day: Official Photos". Copy and paste the link below and then press View as Slideshow.

We have printed the photos out on A4 without a problem and he provided us with them on CD less than 24hrs after the wedding!

Good luck,

Tom & Laura

Thanks for the the good look wishes for the 4th of nov it was great, wedding at 11 photo man & his brother turned up at ten as instructed to start with the bride getting ready(brother did the DVD). This was arranged by a good friend Bruce Taylor from Castara my only instruction was "if you see a good photo shoot it" Three days later he produced an album with 200 photos a disk to use for slide show all the negatives at avery good price. His name is Munroe Jack from Les Coteaux 868-757-5394 he has been doing photos since 78 and the results really are good. will post some on soon when i get chance(only returned yesterday) :D

Hello everyone,
P Strange, did you wear a mic during your ceremony? If not how did the sound on your wedding video turn out? Was your videographer able to get close up of you and your bride?, different angle? did he use any special effects?

Sorry for bombarding you with so many questions in one shot but...

I saw a video that was done by a videographer in Trinidad about a year ago (his name I don't know) and it was just terrible I couldn't really hear the couples vows or anything they said as a matter of fact and for the vows all I saw was the back of the groom's head and part of the bride's face. This has be very uneasy and doubtful.

I will be getting married in 2008 and my fiance and I are really stressing the video and photography so much we were planning on brining a crew of 3 people with us which is already breaking the bank. When I read your entry I got a glimse of light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

hello Reann,
Try not to fuss about such details as photos and dvd, I met Munroe and his brother at half nine on the wedding morning and we discussed details of how much per disc as they are copyright etc. sorted in seconds!
The dvd guy had a mic which was passed between groom bride and priest not ideal but worked great, the sound quality is fine all done to music & of course pan explosion band on the beach and amongst the whole ceremony. Dont know how much you would spend in Canada but if its like here in the frosty UK its a small fortune. My suggestion if you have time on your hands would be to go out there on the excuse of reasearch!!!
Have you a venue in mind or location?
Will soon have all our photos set up on a link so people can see just how fantastic our day was, still receiving email from locals & guest house owners who are close frinds still talking about our day and what they took from the event, any more Q's fire away no problem Phillybom + Chloe :D

Thank you both for the advice...I was starting to worry a lot.

We're considering either Stonehaven Villa or Villa Seabreeze... So far the contacts there seem very helpful.
