Flying to Gatwick

Post by Tony Gibson »

For all of you from the North of England who plan to fly from Gatwick.
I had my connection flight booked for next April through BA, I was informed last week that BA are to cease flight from Newcastle to Gatwick in March 2007('')

After the initial panic, I was able to cancel my tickets, and book the flights on a new company flying into Gatwick, Jet 2.com.
This was at less than half the price I was paying.
(Sorry if this sounds like advertising Steve but it is good news for everyone from up North)('')

I'd love to know why on earth no-one flys from Bristol Int to any London airport! I am going to Tobago on 6th Jan and if there was a flight to Gatwick i would be the first on bourd, the train is ok but can be a pain in the ass if things go wrong, and with Notwork rail running the show it usually does!!
I called Bristol Airport who told me that no plane flys from there to any London airport, surely if such a service existed it would be great for business users and the general holidaymaker.
 Train it is then.
