The last figure I have was TT$18 (about £2) per adult with children 6-12 half-price and children under 6 free. Any changes notified to me will be shown in our listing for Pigeon Point in the Out & About/Beaches & Bays/Crown Point article.

I'm afraid someone else will have to answer that - it's somewhere that I avoid like the plague. Even in my wish to carry out research for myTobago, I would prefer not to visit this tourist trap, which is the epitome of all that I hoped Tobago would never become.

Hi Hilary

Technically - you can walk the beach at PP and don't have to pay unless you stray onto the Pigeon Point Heritage Park (used to be called Club Pigeon Point). There is a good half mile or so of beach from the Conrado Hotel to the wind surf hut, just past the point.

You should notice a chain link fence all along the beach, to just before the 'new' pier, which marks the boundary of the PPHP.
All of this beach area has free access.

If you want to use any of the facilites like loungers and showers then you'll need to pay the entry fee and adorn youself with one of the day-glow wrist bands that are mandatory as proof of your payment.

I agree with Steve, but my wife has other views (guess who's win out?).

You have to pay extra for sun loungers and I think that this works out at something like $TT15 for however long you stay.

There are hundreds of loungers so should be no shortage, except maybe when the cruise ships discourge their passengers, who mainly get bussed to PP.

Showers, changing facilities and toilets are 'free' (if they are unlocked), once you've paid your entrance fee at the entry barrier of the compound.

There is a fast food outlet selling vastly over-priced burgers and smoothies and a small number of beach-side kiosks selling a range of tourist stuff. There is also a small hut where some very pleasant ladies sell shark and bake and is the better of the food options.

Taking coolers into PPHP with your own food is frounded upon for some reason, although I have never seen anyone challenged, but there are signs saying No Coolers.

i had a lovely stroll one afternoon from coco reef up to pigeon point. i had an entry voucher from virgin and it seemed a shame not to use it.

it is quite pretty, the park is very pleasant and the walk back along the beach at low tide is a joy.

i didn't go to any of the stalls so can't comment on them, i spent most of my time taking photos.

for drinks, I'd recommend the bar in the yellow hut at the beggining of the beach side road (can't remember it's name) great service and very friendly.

hope you enjoy yourse3lf when you get there, it'll be a few years before I get to go again.

Thanks for your report.

The beach bar at the start of Pigeon Point Road (right where the road first meets the beach) is Bago's Beach Bar. Yes, the best place for a drink or a light meal anywhere in that area.
