hi Katy.

I have no doubt that you will have a fab time here in Tobago. it truely is a wonderful place.
Regarding boat trips may I reccommend a special trip for you both.
Cocomotion is run by Marlon and Rachel, the boat itself is beautiful and fast. They provide a service whereby you can either do half day trips or full day excursions. Marlon takes you up the coast where you have the chance of seeing the dolphins and get some good snorkelling in places where you wont get to off the shore. The whole trip is exhilarating. The boat once took part in the famous Great Race, ( High Powered speedboats racing from Tinidad to Tobago) Now retired from that, she carries guests of the island on fantastic coastal tours. Dont misread what I am saying. It is not speed speed speed but more luxury and trust me Rachels carrot cake is to die for!!!!
There are other coastal trips of course but I have tried and tested this one and loved it.
Have a great holiday.

Hello Katy,

We just returned last week from Tobago  While there we went on Island Girl and had a great time. Over the course of years we have taken 8-10 "cat" or sailing day trips and Island Girl ranks right at the top. The boat is only two years old and is in immaculate condition. It's designed to handle 40 people but Scott, the captain, limits it to about half that many so you're never crowded. The food and drink were excellent, the crew friendly and helpful and the locations we snorkelled at were great. If you want a relaxing day sailing you can't beat Island Girl. =D>

I can recommend Alibaba's boat trip, our family of four spent a wonderful day on New Year's Eve travelling up the Caribbean coast, snorkelling, swimming with stingrays and eating the most wonderful barbecue at Castara. I believe Brian's boat is only licenced to carry 8 passengers so you will never be crowded and Brian is really keen to make sure you enjoy your day and experience as much as possible.

Couldn't endorse Cocomotion enough - highlight of our trip - so much so when it was cloudy and a bit dreary we rang Marlon, went to sea, and spotted Dolphins!

Excellent stuff!

I second that.

We and a wonderful trip on Cocomotion with Marlon (just after the new engines had been fitted). Not only did we find dolphins, but he managed to sort out the problems I was having with my face mask so now I don't panic when snorkling!

The best bit was when Marlon found some readonable calm sea and opened up the engines to full power to see what they would do! Awesome (if you like speed!!)

What with all that - and Rachel's carrot cake - it was a fantastic trip and excellent value!

Hi,

Cocomotion sounds great! Maybe give it a try in April.

As far as the rainforest goes we would recommend Newton George. He was fantastic last year and the kids can't wait to go back this year. He is brilliant with the bird specie and was full of facts about the plants and other wildlife. Read the reviews and take your pick!

Have fun,

Anthony.
