Castara After Dark

Post by Barlinek »

Hi there,

My family and I are arriving this coming Friday and staying in Castara. Is there anything to do after darkness falls? We have a guesthouse to chill out at, but is there anything that goes on on the beach, etc.....?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Barlinek,

nighlife is low in Castara, but not unknown. Codringtons on the top of the hill is a kind of pub where you can meet usually tourists and locals for some rum punches or beers.
The Boathouse on Castara's little beach is also a nice place at evening,
where you can get in contact easily with tourists and locals. In 2005 they
had a steelband playing on Wednesdays.
The treehouse of the Cascreole on Castara's big bay is a great place
to enjoy the sunset directly on the beach with a beer in your hand.

Oh man, I have to stop, getting itchy feet right now.....
Enjoy your holiday!

Ancle at the Naturalist Beach throws BBQ's on Friday & (I think) Sunday nights. He usually has some African drummers or other such entertainment. Lots of fun & the food is very good. 125TT per person. Make reservations at the Cafe Delite.
