For all you people enjoying the sunshine of Tobago - I thought you would like to know that today the UK (well our bit of it anyway) is completely paralysed by snow! I know that snow ploughs and gritters are a myth in rural Oxfordshire - but the disruption is widespread! It looks very picturesque though!

Anyway - now you can all have a Stag (Steve) or Carib (David) - and gloat!!!

Jane (snowed in in the Cotswolds!)

Hi Jane

My problem is far more serious than simply being paralysed by snow. It's HOT here in Tobago and everywhere is short of Stag. I'm having to drink Carib and I'm bloating out from all the bubbles. This is SERIOUS!

Actually, I made a huge mistake after we landed on Saturday. A meal was being provided so we didn't have to worry about doing a big 'shop' on arrival - never a joy after a full day's travel - but we decided to quickly shoot in to Penny Savers to grab some water, Lucozade (Jill's tiple) and beer. I grabbed a 24-bottle case with STAG in huge letters on the side, paid and left. When we got to the apartment I found it contained GUINNESS. I know I'm getting on a bit, but I'm not THAT old. I had to take the case back the next day - but they had no crates of Stag so I had to take one of Carib.

So, anyone want a good deal on a one-owner low-mileage case of Carib? All offers in a plain brown envelope to Tony B, reference Steve's peerage fund, please. :P

Steve,

Woke up this morning to temperatures -22c and then read about your (IMHO) woefully inadequate problems. Sorry Mon, the only sympathy I think you'll find will be in the dictionary. :-({|=

Enjoy yourself, but please have some consideration for us poor people left behind in the cold.

Hey David

Thanks for the weather report. My son is enjoying the Tobago sun right now, so it's nice to have your regular reports. London is cold and wet, wet, wet!! Am getting depressed now but it's self inflicted cause I start each day with a look at the weather in Crown Point! Need to get back 'HOME' to Tobago!!!!

Gawd, how terribly boring - sunshine, sunshine, sunshine 8) All that boring weather is going to make you soft. It's about time you got some variety in your life like snow and freezing cold weather. That would certainly toughen you up :!:

D'big sound systems are all booming away in 'Bro' today all ready for tonights start.Lots of (heavily)armed police and the Regiment around so it will be as usual a good safe experience.
Weather wise it is another glorious day, clear skies with an occasonal puffy cottonwool cloud ,but otherwise lubbly jubbly!!!

Sunday was glorious but Monday, well Mr Tallet surely put the mockers on J'ouvret. It rained all day.Not so bad at night but the poor children's Mas Band Parade was practically washed out!
Today we had quite a down pour at about 8am and it has threatened though not rained yet.It is quite sunny but very humid.
Well the time here is1300 and the Mas parade starts at 1400 so this man's going to get some Caribs inside him!
Bye for now David :D 8) ( %*} ,for later)

As much as I don't want to celebrate your 'misfortune' of a washed out day, it feels me with hope that the seasons (be that dry with rain or wet without) can do whatever they please.

I'll stop being typically uptight about being humid, washed out and overcast in July for at least a few days now ;-)
