Hi John
Welcome aboard!
Sorry for the delay in providing my usual greeting, but I am currently here in sunny Tobago (well, not so sunny - its nearly 9pm) and restricted to a very slow dial-up. Sadly, the pressure of writing reviews, conducting all the research and meeting all the contacts that are the true lifeblood of this site through the information they provide me, takes its toll and so I sadly am forced to neglect the forum to some degree during these two month tours every year.
Anyway, enjoy the site.

No need to get sarcastic, David
Surely even I get a chance to take a few hours off from the work and pay my respects and catch up with the gossip from everyone I know. Its all in a good cause. At least you didn't catch me liming on the beach.
Anyway, just for the record, I have to say that I spotted David Watkins in Crown Point this morning and - sit down and get ready for this - HE WAS SOBER! At least I think he was. I'm beginning to wonder if his reputation has been hyped a little.
Jill and Bill - yes, you should feel sorry for me but don't worry, I'm used to being dumped on. After all, I'm a married man aren't I?

Steve,
Can we assume that your wife will have no internet access while in Tobago and you're hoping this thread will be so buried by the time you return that she won't see your comment
Your remark about David reminds me of that old joke - "I didn't realize the man was a drinker until one day I saw him sober." After meeting David I concur that his reputation is a little hyped, he is actually a mild mannered, friendly man who goes to bed early most evenings. OK David, you've now been "outted."
Bill
