public holidays - Easter

Post by C. T. Shelley »

Hi,
This is my first posting - I'm so grateful for this site and the helpful information.I've now planned out my holiday staying at Birdies Nest for 1 week and Top River Pearl the second week - all thanks to this site. One question(first of many as i'm not travelling until next year!!) - we're arriving the day before Good Friday/Easter weekend so is anything open supermarkets, restaurants etc.?
Cheers,
Caron

Hi Caron,

Not many of us spell Caron this way! We have been to Tobago twice before, staying at the Rex and hope to be returning in April, 2008. Perhaps we will be there around the same time. I'm not sure of the opening hours of the shops as we have stayed on an 'all inclusive' basis but I do know that some shops, bars etc. tend to open when the owners feel like it, i.e. when they are in the mood! Sorry not to have been of more help.

I'm sure you will have a fantastic time.

Hello Caron 1

Welcome aboard!

We stayed at Birdie's Nest just last week. You've made a great choice. Our full review will be published by he end of April, hopefully, but all I can say is you're in for a treat.

I don't know about opening/closing times over the bank holiday but times are bound to be more restricted than usual. Check with Prince at Birdie's nearer the time and he'll be able to advise.

Hi Caron 2

Good to see you're still active on the board. Somerset? Have you moved? I thought you were somewhere up near us, or am I going mad? Don't answer that question please.

Hi Steve,

I'm still very active trying to read every post on the forum. I've lived in Somerset for 20 years and prior to that lived in Bolton - perhaps living the 'too laid-back Tobago life' is affecting your memory! We just wish we were there now.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies - Steve I look forward to reading your review of Birdies nest.
So nice to meet another Caron - we're a rare species!
I'm off to start on my list of questions - this site is very addictive!
Cheers,

Hi Caron Pople

We were staying at the Rex at the same time as you last March/April last year & were lucky enough to return in October for a week. We too are returning in April 2008 having become addicted to this beautiful island & its people. It's good to hear how many other people are addicted to this website & forum, I sometimes think I am the only person who has two things to log on for everyday, to check my e-mails & of course catch up on what I've missed on MyTobago in the last 24hrs!
Hope you & your family are well & hopefully see you next April.

Hi Donna,

Good to hear from you again. When in April 2008 are you going to Tobago, is it the Easter Holiday time? Our e-mail address is available on my profile if you would like to e-mail direct. It would be great to meet up with you both and your two little girls again, although I suppose they won't be quite so little then.

Bye for now.

Caron
