Tobago Wedding Venues Price Points

Post by Lydia L. »

Hello I"m planning on having a wedding in Tobago February 2008. I don't know where to start but reading this site has been helpful. I wanted something small but since I was born in Trinidad I know I can't get away with having a wedding in Tobago without inviting family.

Anyway that being said can anyone give me a range of prices for a wedding at Coco Reef with about 40 guests. I have nothing to compare since most sites list for like 12 guests.

Also if anyone has pictures of their wedding so I can see what weddings in Tobago look like.

Hi Lydia

'fraid I haven't any experience of weddings on Tobago, but have you looked here - http://www.mytobago.info/weddings.php

You might also try the search facility in the top right-hand corner of your screen. Just type in 'wedding' and you may find others reports and posts.

Good luck
Steve
Take only photos - leave only footprints. I like that concept.

Hi I had my wedding 2 years ago at the Blue Haven Hotel in Tobago. I'm not sure what you consider a medium size wedding. I had 50 people at mine. Let me know if you would like to see the photos.

Best wishes

Hi Lydia,
I'm currently planning a wedding in Tobago, and being from Trinidad myself I will also have to invite a larger amount of guest that my fiance and I first anticipated. When I first started looking around I sent and email to Coco Reef and they were really great on providing all the information I needed. Have you tried contacting them? If you would like some help planning you can contact Marie Dillworth of Tobagoweddings.com she's great, very helpful.

I didnt get married there.I hired a villa and had it catered after doing the vows on a boat-recommend this option highly by the way! However we stayed a couple of nights at the coco reef and saw a couple of weddings
there. They looked ok but one was pretty much the same as the next. The biggest drawback in my opinion was the fact that weddings there arent private; you will probably have alot of hotel guests sitting watching your
vows and wandering around your reception. Like I said that seems to be the only 2 negative points, the brides all looked happy(and pretty).
My friend got married last week at a hotel and Vegas and loved having an audience of hotel guest well wishes. Depends if this is your cup of tea or not.
The price of the actual wedding is very cheap if you are staying at the hotel.
Good luck, Tobagos beautiful

Hi Rebecca,
If you don't mind me asking... what caterer did you use...

We have decided to host our wedding at a villa as well and would also need to have someone cater the reception. I would like to welcome any suggestions or advice that you may have...

We used a lady named Stacey.Unfortunately I dont have her contact info as
we hired her through Marie Dilworth.Think she is relatively well known in scarborough area though. She made a great wedding cake.Amazing starters eg in the shape of swans etc. Wonderful mains with rack of lamb, lobster and mahi mahi. She had some young ladies waitressing for her who were very friendly and on the ball.
I bought decorations ,bubbles and party poppers etc over from london and they decorated the tables beautifully. If you use her just design your menu and forget about it...she makes a mean rum punch and great chocolate shakes also!
