Hi Neil
I don't know if you have checked out the fishing pages in the Out & About section of the website (at the top of the page), but here is some limited info on charters
http://www.mytobago.info/fishing04.php including Hardplay
Cheers
Steve

Take only photos - leave only footprints. I like that concept.

Neil ,
Sorry on my earlier reply I got mixed up with Hardplay & Grand Slam .
I recommend Grand Slam .This is the boat run by Kester Herbert & Mark Simmons ( Simmo ) . If you go to Pigeon Point Anyone there will know them & be able to put you in touch or try calling Simmo on his Tobago mobile no. 0018687734680 or on Simmos UK mobile no. 07831413812 .
Tight lines

Hi, Good luck on your wedding.
Both Hardplay and Grand Slam are good boats and operators. I know Frothy and Kester and they and their crews are great. I had a friend go out 2 times in Feb. on one of Frothy's boats and both times they caught over 50 Mahi Mahi along with some wahoo and tuna. I know Kester usually has good luck but I can't give you any recent first hand accounts. Frothy has the more traditional deep sea fishing boats and are probably more comfortable. With Kester you get a local type of boat but it will be bigger and more comfortable than the smaller local boats. Both are located on the south end of Tobago. You can't go wrong with either Frothy or Kester.
If you you want to fish from the north end try Captain Curtis in Charlotteville ( http://www.workshopseatours.net). He has a covered boat with a fighting chair similar to Grand Slam. I talked to him a couple of days ago and was told the Mahi Mahi had slowed down but had good catches of tuna and some wahoo.
Hope this helps, have a great time in Tobago.

hi niel, just got back & posted my experiences whilst fishing with hard play in the main section...maybe mine was an isolated case, but maybe not.
from what I have heard since, the Grandslams & kestler are the best. good luck & congrats on the wedding, my lad was wed on pigeon point whilst we were out there & it was brilliant
