Hi Gisela
Its great to see your photos of so many Castara people that we have met, the Carnival shots are really good and capture the fun that is had not only by those taking part but also those watching.
I like the new term Tobagomaniacs which along with Castaraphile somes a lot of us up.
Thanks for sharing these with us.
Regards
Paul and Leita

Hi Jo, Michelle, Paul and Leita and Bill B.,
I was not in the forum for a while and now there are so many nice new things to see. I love my photos but the quality of Bill's or Jill's or David's photos are much better, I'm just a holiday photographer not an artist like them.
But all photos bring back memories and keeps you in touch with lovely Tobago
thanks to everybody to share his or her memories with us.
Jo, I remember I put some of your photos with "special thanks to Jo B." on my website
Hope to meet you there again to have lots of Caribs together!
Michelle, longing for your photos but first enjoy your holidays and have a Carib on me when you are there
Cheers

Hi Gisela,
Thanks for the compliment, I don't consider myself an "Artist," but it's nice to think that somebody does. And you're being much too modest, you have a lot of excellent photos on your site.
What I find that works for me is to take a lot of pictures and then erase about 90% of them. Mostly by accident, the 10% that are left are fairly decent. Then a little work with a photo editting program (mostly cropping) gets them to a final form.

Hi Gisela,
Yeah thanks for the compliment, but I do exactly as Bill does.
On a recent two week holiday to Turkey, I took 600 photos, not including the ones deleted at the time of taking them - only 180 made it onto the website. So you only see the good ones.
I only use a Sony Cybershot T7 - just a bit larger than a credit card and just snap when the mood or the moment takes me.

Thanks Gisella.I too took about 400 hundred photographs during my last stay so what you see is a small proportion if the very best, there are more in the pipe line it's a matter of finding the time right now,to sort through them.Last visit I used Nikon D50 digital SLR with a 18-55mm lense or Sigma 70-300mm lens with macro. It was my first year with a digital and I am pleased.Previosly I had a Nikon F 401 35mm film SLR with 55mm lense, and I
would take in the order of 50 or so rolls of film with me ....and stilll buy more!!!In all I reckon I have few thousand pictures of Tobago,so transfering those hard copies into digital will take some time!!!!!!

Gisella,
Great photos! I couldn't help but notice quite a large number depicting handsome, often topless, men.You obviously do have an artistic eye,and know how to display the scenery at its best.......
Cheers,
Carol
