Can anyone tell me if there is a ferry between Tobago and Venezuela, or maybe from Trinidad?
Tobago-Venezuela?

There is no ferry between Tobago and Venezuela, but there is a 4-hour ferry service between Trinidad and Duiria on Venezuela's luch Paria peninsula. I believe this is operated by Windward Lines Ltd but I'm afraid I can't seem to trace any contact information for them. I'll add a another post here if I find anything.

Hi, I can't help myself....I was in Venezuala in august with a tight timeline to fly out of Port of Spain, Trinidad, and I can say that whatever the lonely planet says about ferries is no longer accurate, as of aug2002. ie, there is no ferry from margarita island to Trinidad, tobago, and the ONLY ferrry, of any such, still operating is the Windward lines, by Acosta Asociados in Guiria on the penisula of Venezuala - their email is [email protected], and this should get you Julio Cesar Acosta, the boss. and I will emphasize - this ferry leaves Venezuala for POS once a week only, wednesday, 3pm sharp. I am not sure, I think it goes the other way on Thursday...check this out, trust me, as we saw our lives flash before our eyes in a storm in the middle of the night after stowing away on a Dutch container ship to get to POS in time. but all in the fun of travelling....hope this helps:) again, be wary...lp and handbooks are life savers - but literally missed the boat on this one

Thank you very much for your answers. This is a really great website, the best about Tobago. I have been to Trinidad and Tobago twice and I am going there again this January, and I can´t wait, Tobago is the perfect place for a holiday, the only bad thing about it is, that it´s so depressing that you have to go back home! So I don´t know if I´ll make it To Venezuela, because usually I don´t want to leave Tobago, but maybe it would be ok for 1 or 2 days.
