Anyone holidaying 6 Oct

Post by Gerri »

Only 6 weeks to our holiday :D
Wondering if anyone else travelling then - staying at Coco Reef for our Silver Wedding.

Decided to go B/B, is this a good idea, have not been All Inclusive before, hope we made the right decision. What is the cost of a 3 course meal at coco reef. :?

Hi Gerri

This is always a difficult question to answer. It all depends upon how much time you will spend in the hotel.

If you anticipate hiring a car for your full holiday (always recommended) and being out and about most days and trying all the lovely restaurants available in the area in the evenings, then you’ve done the right thing.

However, if you anticipate “vegging” out on the Coco Reef beach (a very, very easy and pleasurable option) and only going out on a few tours, then you better arrange a second mortgage. I don’t know actual costs, but consider it the equivalent of eating out at one of your top local restaurants every day – plus the same for your lunch, drinks through the day, and not forgetting incidentals like bottled water for your room.

The Coco Reef is not everyone’s common idea of an “All Inclusive” hotel. It isn’t and simply offers an “All Inclusive” option for your financial convenience.

Either way, have a great trip and please let us know how you get on.

Gerri,
We have just returned from two weeks all inclusive at Coco Reef and can definitely recommend it as long as you're willing to put on about half a stone in weight as my husband did! ( although I blame the fact that he was drinking two or three guinness each night rather than the actual food - Yes Guinness is included too ) The cost of a three course meal is $300TT which is very reasonable considering the quality of food. Two courses is probably enough and costs $200TT.
Hope this helps
