Has anyone booked ,with the coco reef directly

Post by Scott Carrie »

Hi

interested in booking our holiday directly with the hotel and booking flights rather than booking via a travel agent. I was wondering if others have done this with the coco reef and if so how did it work our (price wise) compaired to the travel agent prices.

I sent coco reef an email a few days ago, have not heard back from them yet, i guess they are enjoying the sun at the moment :-)

Hi Scott

I can't comment on the prices when booking direct, but I can confirm that as excellent a hotel as the Coco Reef Resort is, like many of the hotels on Tobago it hasn't really caught up with the virtual world yet. I constantly get emails complaining on poor/slow response to emails by Tobago hotels. One major hotel (not the CCR) regularly takes two or three weeks to reply to messages.

Hope you hear soon.

Dear Scott,

I also thought about booking direct, but found it rather more expensive than I had expected, so am now doing it as part of a package. I also have a travel agent to gives me a discount of anything between 5 and 10% on the full price. (My latest booking for the Coco Reef next January, and flying Club Class, done through her, has given me a discount of around £700 (quite a few gin and tonics in my book!!) If you are interested, let me know, and I will give you her details.

I sent an E-mail to Coco Reef reservations recently enquiring about particular room numbers and had an E-mail by return, so I am surprised they are taking so long ...

Anyway, enjoy Tobago and the Coco Reef. Can't wait to get back next year.

I emailed the Coco reef direct and they did quote me quite a good price but I found the best place on the internet. I then telephoned the agent I know and they beat the price!! If you want her number email me.
