car hire for oldies

Post by John Cropp »

Hello! We are returning to Tobago at the end of February, staying at Coco Reef, for our second visit (first 5 years ago) and plan to hire a self drive car. We have heard that over 70s cannot get insurance. Do you know if this is correct?

Do you still recommend Sheppy for car rental?

Great Website. congratulations

Best regards

Hello John

Welcome aboard! :D

To be frank, I don't know about the insurance. The best way is to email the agencies and ask them. My guess is that there won't be a problem.

Do I still recommend Sheppy? Ask me again next Sunday after I've arrived in Tobago and know whether my car is waiting for me at the airport.

I hope you and Jill have a good trip Steve - though I'm sure you will.
(I'm already looking forward to reading your reports. No pressure though! )
