For old fashioned try Kersey or Polstead, not too too far from Steves home in Long Melford which although larger is well worth considering as well

Gary's suggestions are spot on, but to be honest, Suffolk - particularly south and south-west Suffolk - is littered with lovely villages. I strongly recommend the villages along the Stour Valley. North Suffolk can be quite flat, but the areas between Colchester (Essex) and Sudbury and north as far as Bury St Edmunds are more hilly - in fact surprisingly so at times.

Your best bet is simply to drive around the area noting the villages and areas you like.

Hi Alexandra

The XL One cabin is very small and the seating is 3 rows x 2 seats. To be honest, I don't think any are worse/better than any others. We had 1A and 1B coming out and so had a fraction more legroom as it was against the front bulkhead, but to be frank the extra couple of inches made no difference whatsoever as it was more than adequate anyway.

We'll have to see what we get for the return tomorrow. I'll have a good look at the cabin and let you know on Monday if I can add anything useful to the above.

Steve is right the cabin is quite small and where you sit will make hardly any difference. We are not talking major airline here ! Rest assured the space is more than comfortable to sleep the crew are attentive and you can eat the food,yes honestly,you can.

In our meagre experience it's a lot better than BA World Traveller Plus - more space, better food, I just wish they had that fascinating progress screen...
