Returning to Tobago - Good News & Bad News

Post by Bill B »

The good news - we've planned another trip to Tobago =D> :D 8)

The bad news - it isn't until March 2010 #-o

As those who have read my previous ramblings know, Mary Lou and I take an annual tropical vacation by banking a timeshare and then trading for what's available in someplace warm in the winter. Last month we were in Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas Mexico and next year we will be going to Puerto Vallarta Mexico. We usually don't work quite this far in the future, but we've decided to actually go to the TS we normally trade next summer and had to bank a different one which is not as good a trader. By searching further out we were able to secure a trade into Sandy Point where we stayed last year.

The exact dates aren't set because we will do the same as last time and extend our trip by staying in Castara a few days either before or after.

Hi Bill

That's something to really look forward to :D

We are giving the big T a miss this year and moseying on down to Baja (La Ribera on the East Cape), to pester the local fish, so I hope you left just a few cold Cervesas for us to sample.

Saludo

Hello All,

Steve,
We left a few (my personal favorite was Pacifico but the Negro Modelo was a close second). Looking forward to seeing a picture of you and a record setting marlin :)

Sandra,
When you get as old as me they go past so fast they make your head spin

Noe,
I remember a post a short while back where you asked me to finance your trip to Tobago so you could engage in your literary pursuits. So okay, you and "himself" can come with. I'm serious about this. We'll be at Sandy Point from 03/05/20010 thru 03/12/2010 in a 1BR that sleeps 4 and as long as you don't mind a sofa bed you're welcome to join us as our guests. Depending on whatever flight arrangements you can make the days before or after you'll be on your own.

Uncle Bill,
You have just knocked me sideways!
I was a miserable old bag yesterday and looking at Tobago pics and listening to David's soca music didn't help!
I was never expecting a serious offer from you, or anyone! My husband is away at the moment,(in Falmouth, David) and doesn't have the remotest idea about what I get up to on this site, so I'll have some explaining to do.
How about contacting me at: [email protected]? I have just created this address, separate from my normal e mail address, so if I get any hassle from sad weirdos, or weird saddos, I'll close it.

I ate a late, leisurely breakfast after reading your post, and was so distracted I spilt egg yolk on my dressing gown and ate some eggshell. Would you want to share a holiday home with someone with table manners like that?

Bill, How wonderfully generous and warm hearted of you. =D> =D> =D> I have just read your message and I feel quite emotional now :) I am sending you a big hug.x
Noe,How amazing is that  :?:
I do so hope that you will be able to go and would love to be in Bago for some of the same time so we could meet up. I'm surprised you even managed breakfast at all. Not every day something so absolutely uncompromisingly fabulous like that happens.

=D> Hi Bill
Looks like you've started a party - hope you weren't expecting peace and quiet ! It's very odd but we had booked that week and the one after two weeks ago, I'm a girl who plans ahead ! Having said that we are going for Easter next year - can't wait. I so hope Carol accepts your wonderful offer. Let's hear it for the good guys !

Hello All,

Thank you for all your kind comments. They make me appear like a saint and those who post here who have met me know that's not the case.

Hopefully we can get a party together as David will be there then and if I understand correctly Sandra has also booked for that time. Ideally we will try to be in Castara the week before, as that leaves us close to the airport on our last day and avoids any problem of being late for our flight, but until we can book our air we won't know for sure.

Noe,

I'll send you an e-mail later.

Bill

P.S. Don't worry about the egg yolks I just recently found out what knifes and forks are for.

David,
Of course! Win the lottery! Why didn't I think of that?
What's this about the Stig? Hadn't you better explain that to Bill and other non-Brits?
Hey David Watkins is the Stig :!: :!: :!:
Wouldn't Tobago be a lttle too warm for walking around in a mask?

Bill,

Shame on you Tony. There's only one show on TV worth watching (well, not counting the Apprentice and Dragons Den) and you can't have watched that without knowing who the Stig is. (correction: 'what' the Stig is)

The Stig Is the name given to the anonymous racing driver on the BBC motoring show Top Gear. In the show he is cast as a mysterious "tamed racing driver" whose identity is unknown, and who never speaks or removes his helmet on camera. Nonetheless he is fully credited as a presenter alongside Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

The Stig's primary function on the show is to post lap times in various cars around the Top Gear circuit in Dunsfold Park, and to train each week's guest in setting a lap time in the reasonably-priced car.

The original Stig was ex-Formula One Perry McCarthy. He was the Stig for the first 22 programmes in which the Stig appeared. The identity of the current Stig is a closely guarded secret. Even Damon Hill has teased us with the possibility that he might be the culprit. However, in truth, there are actually several Stigs.

Personally, I think the truth has been revealed in other posts in this thread. David Watkins keeps dissapearing mysteriously. Could there be a clue here?
