It was great to stay in Alibiabas Sea Breeze. The appartements are very nice and we felt very good in beeing there. We very much appreaciated the free airport pick up. The view from the balcony is great and can not be better. We can recommend it to everybody who is looking for an appartement in Castara.

Re: It Was a Great Holiday
Hi. If you received free airport pick-up you must have stayed in Castara for a couple of weeks. I'd sure like to hear more info on your stay there. Did you rent a vehicle at all? How did that go for you?
Also, what time of day did your plane get in? We arrive in Trinidad early in the am and will fly over to Tobago a couple of hours after that. Don't know when we could get picked up and taken to Castara. Maybe we'll have to kill a little time (if we can store our luggage somewhere).
Hope to hear back from you.

Glen, you asked about renting a vehicle during your stay-we have been to Tobago twice and will be returning December 08-always staying in Castara (our favorite place). You may want to rent a vehicle for at least part of your trip for sightseeing outside of Castara and so you can travel to the larger grocery stores. Dianne

Re: It Was a Great Holiday
Hi. Thanks again for the replies. We definitely want to rent a vehicle for a number of occasions but was wondering if any rentals in Castara are approved rentals or private vehicles that are rented out. Have read about some precautions about insurance. Any advice?
Thanks.
Glen
Thanks.

Glen,no problem,There are two or three rentals in Castara,Brian's brother being one of them!!!!And I know that he is insured 'cos you have to fill out all the tedious government forms.

Glen,
Welcome aboard.
I'd suggest that rather than post under these various Ali-Baba reviews that you post your questions in the main topic groups where you will get more people reading and responding.
I noted in one of your other posts that you are on a Riviera Maya forum. You'll find that your Tobago trip will be a completely different experience than staying at an all inclusive luxury resort that you may only leave once or twice during your vacation on a group tour. In Tobago (and especially Castara) you'll find that everthing is very basic and you'll be interacting with the locals constantly. Smile, say good morning or evening, adopt a laid back attitude and you will find that they are the nicest people you can meet. Enjoy your trip.

Hi Bill
We have done the All Inclusive twice now and are looking for something different. We think Tobago and Castara are just what we are looking for. A relaxing time, masters of our own destiny, and freedom to roam around and see a lot of different sights. I think you are right when you say this will be completely different and that's just what we are looking for. Thanks for replying.

Glen, on our last visit, we rented a car from Sunbird-of whom you can make arrangements for rental on line. If you arrive in Tobago after business hours, they will drive to Castara to drop off the car for $7.00 U.S. You will find Castara a good fit with your plans of relaxation. Steph and Brian (owners of Ali-Baba's) will be quite helpful with suggestions on what to do/where to go during your stay. Dianne
