I would give full marks to the staff, really friendly and very helpful, really really good on this and no complaints...but a part the wonderful pictures n the hotel walls and the flower arrangements, which were impressive (especially the pictures as it is usually difficult to find a resort which also has good wall pictures), the rest was quite poor and let me start from the beginning...
1) Rooms are ok, nothing special, toilet in our room was extremely noisy like a truck starting its engine and this is not nice, shower pretty poor but I am now used to this as most resorts I've stayed in the caribbean seem to have the same shower problem so...
2) 'Overlooking the sea' should be taken off the Coco Reef presentation, as the only rooms really overlooking the sea properly are on the 2nd floor only due to the thick vegetation in front of the others, and the best are the ones overlooking Store Bay.
3) Even understanding the reasons I still cannot approve the horrible looking stones wall built just in front of the hotel beach, this makes the small beach soo artificial, and the wall looks very very bad where everything supposed to be natural.
4) Statues, simply ridicoulous...the worst look you can have looking at the sea from the Coco Reef are these white statues in the middle of the sea, whoever decided to put them there should go back to school and learn design in an open space
5) Barbed wire...barbed wire? Yes somebody with a very 'open view' has nearly encircled the left and right side of the beach with barbed wire, they cannot be seen from the resort but they can be seens very well from Store Bay and from the sea if you are out snorkelling, or on a boat, and they give the resort that fortress look which is really bad, what they wanted to do become like the Pigeon Point? This also made me feel living in a prison, horrible feeling for me as guest, and I guess also for locals looking at this wire from the outside
6) Prices in the minibar, far too high for this place, mineral water about £2, peanuts about £5 plus taxes! Also imported goods when they could simply use local water, and local peanuts...
7) Swimming pool, well it is probably the smallest swimming pool seen in the caribbean, better they call it something else or they get rid of it, is far too small and when more than 5 people is a real crowd, need complete redesigned and definitely enlarged.
So in the end even if the staff was really wonderful, sometime this is not enough from a resort claiming to be 4 stars or more, and I will not recommend this place and I will not return to this resort until drastically changed in design and organization.
