We arrived back from LGC on Sunday after two great weeks at this hotel.

Ignore any negative comments previously posted regarding the following:

1. Food: the menu's offer a wide variety, the food is well presented and you receive table service every night (no buffets). Even at breakfast and lunch-time, you can get food cooked to order.

2. The Spa: the management at the hotel are well aware of the negative comments received on the internet about the Spa (we were even asked for feedback about the Spa during our stay by Guest Relations) - throughout our stay it was very easy to change the times or treatments. All the free treatments last a max 30 minutes - you can book additional treatments at extra cost.

3. Decorative state: the hotel seems to have been recently renovated, so no issues.

4. The staff - could not be more helpful. Tables are cleared almost as soon as you finish your plate, and most staff are up for a joke.

5. The beach - is public, but it's clean and safe.

To anyone thinking about visiting this hotel, I would strongly recommend it.

The only things to be aware of are that the bars close at mid-night; there are not quite enough sun loungers around the pool (you'll need to bag the beds early with towels - so be warned); and when you have your breakfast cover your orange juice (you'll see...).

Finally, I would highly recommend the following local restaurants on the same Shivan Road as the hotel: La Terraza (Italian) that has the only cigar 'factory' on the island - Stefano is a top bloke and mad for any football (you can watch the Champions league with him) and Indigo (within walking distance of the hotel).

I have just returned today and was very impressed, i will give more reviews in a couple of days when i get over the jet lag, i couldnt agree more with your comments only to say that although the bars close at midnight, they dont turn the beer pumps off and helping yourself was not a problem during our 2 weeks there

great staff, great location, shame it only lasted 2 weeks
