XL Repatriation flights?

Post by Andrew Prince »

Does anyone know what arrangements are in place to fly back this Thursdays XL passengers?
It would be useful to have updates on here over the next few weeks.

Hello Andrew

As I understand it, repatriation flights are being handled by Virgin. They have not replied to my email asking for further information. Too busy counting their profits from the situation I suspect.

Hi All,

I eventually managed to get through to the CAA today on behalf of some friends staying with me... They were due to fly back this Thursday (18th). Some people have re-booked onto the Virgin flight, but in the meantime, I understand that Virgin are laying on an additional flight on Friday evening (19th Sept, dep 6:15pm from memory??!, arr LGW 07:45am, Sat 20th Sept). Likewise, I believe they're planning on doing the same next week for those on 2 weeks hol. (People are getting an extra day!). This was off the back of a phone call to the CAA, but I've also been told that their website has been updated today to give the same information, although I haven't checked!

Hope this helps!
Lisa.
