Glad you took it the right way.
In truth, I couldn't answer your question because this is one area where I most definitely practise what I preach. While I am in Tobago I assume the rest of the world is still out there, but I care not one jot - after all, if a disaster is awaiting me then I might as well enjoy my last few days unfettered by worries about it.
In that sense, I must admit that I have never read a newspaper in Tobago and only switch on the TV in places we are reviewing to check that the TV works and to check on reception quality. I confess I've never seen any British newspapers around, so I suspect that you will HAVE to relax and ignore the news at home and elsewhere.
Have a great time - I'm sure you will once you switch off. Remember, take your watch off as soon as you get on that plane and get your partner to give you a good slap every time you look down at your wrist. Time watching and time keeping are not allowed on Tobago.
