Return to the Coco Reef

You remember we were there during the 'hell-fortnight' in 2000 only to return to see Coco Reef in all its glory in 2001. Well 2002 proved that we were right to return there yet again. The hotel itself was just as wonderful this year as it was last year. There were some changes in the senior staff, but the management of the restaurants remained the same and the food was equally as splendid as in the past. The junior staff were much the same and it was nice to renew old acquaintances and friendships in this area. In fact the interaction of guests and staff remains one of the hotel's strongest aspects. One does get the feeling of being one of the family. There are a large number of long service staff and we met guests who were on their seventh visit. We feel this speaks for itself. I am sure there are classier (and more expensive) hotels in the Caribbean but I there can be none that are any friendlier or more comfortable than Coco Reef. This holiday remains good value for money. Regards - Bill (& Carol) Dover

One thing springs to mind and that was the state of the gardens. They were in splendid condition and I had the good fortune to meet the Head Gardener/Chief Horticulturalist, named Delia (or Blondie). She is doing tours of the gardens for an hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you haven't tried it then please do - it was an experience and I say no more - it's best to let you find out for yourself. Oh by the way if you walk down the drive after dinner and knock on the woodpeckers tree he pops his head out to see who is there - even he is one of the family.
