Well ... erm ... if Cows didn't have lips they would only be able to say "oo".

Same for sheep.

it's as simple as that.

Carol, while doing some filing in my image database today, I came across of a series of shots I took on Castara main beach last February and was reminded of your shot on the previous page. Thought I ought to caption this shot "wot, no 'eads?"

Wonderful photo Steve!
I suppose I was a bit unfair with mine; its obviously Tobago, but there's not much of a clue as to exactly where. It's Castara!
How did this thread turn into Corny Jokes Corner then?
Incidentally, if you google "why do cows have lips?" you will discover some fascinating information as to how different language speakers interpret animal sounds like "moo" and "baa".
I need a life...

Correct Kevin ... well done.

Does anyone recall what Tarzan said when he saw a herd of elephants coming over a hill wearing sunglasses ??

"Why are the elephants wearing sunglasses?"

Here's a question for you - Two Teddy Bears in the airing cupboard, which one's in the army?

The elephants decided to wear the sunglasses so that Tarzan would not recognise them ... as a consequence of this, Tarzan didn't say much for they were of no significance to him ... had they not worn the sunglasses then he would have jumped up and down excitedly and said 'there is a herd of elephants coming over that hill' ... it's tough for elephants as they are so big and they will try anything to have a quiet life and go unnoticed.

As for the Teddy Bears ... I would like to know what they are doing in my airing cupboard before I start asking questions about their career options ... I haven't a clue

Sorry everyone ... this is so off topic ... but so much fun :D

OK so I only have a basic camera, this was taken through the patio door and I'm a rotten photographer, but this is an example of bird life in tropical Surrey:
