I hope this doesn't bring about any "Planet Zanussi" comments from that Cornish Santa.

Carol,

Now that you mentioned 'fish' we'll probably have a whole bunch of other members join in who usually only appear on threads discussing what type of lures to use, what weight line to use and other esoteric subjects

Tony,

Glad to see you posting. We're all here to help you get through these dark days.

No ... not at all ... Santa brings me fresh sets of underpants every year ... without fail.

He does have his uses.

Now, the last two postings have got me really confused!!!!!!
Bill, are you sugesting that Paul may use underpants as fishing lures?
If so, what is the breaking strain???

Perhaps I should keep out of this one and stick to.......er, cricket!!! Never seen that mentioned here, suprised with England playing West Indies next month....... is that subject banned?

Carol; by the way, it is Sue's other half Dave who has a penchant for and early waffle.
you won't ever get a waffle out of Sue before lunchtime.

the "pigeon" is ready to fly, standing up already...so troubles ahead.
might give us a first tooth for christmas... so we might be up watching santa pass in his sleigh...
speniding much time with english aunty shasha these days, over a nice cupatea and some serious waffling one or the other english crumb gets stuck...

tomorrow is ham and bread baking day, sunday father christmas' visit and turn around three times and it's christmas already. so I take the chance to wish you all a merry christmas and a happy (no black dogs n'stuff)and healthy new year now!
hope to see you all around earlier or later (maybe over a rum-punch at the boathouse... yes you heard right a liquor license is in place, stop bringing your own beers).

ho ho ho and all the best

steph (and ali swimming in the sea and makaya having his late morning nap)

Tony,
I'm chuffed that you're chuffed! :D
Hope you enjoy it!

Steph,
You'll need to be on your toes once Makaya starts crawling! A tooth for Christmas? Where did the time go? I expect you'll be putting his name down for the primary school next!

Dave,
You really must stop calling yourself Sue. It's confusing enough around here with Steph calling herself Brian... :?

Sue/Dave,

If you start reading the Waffle from the beginning you'll find that confusion settled in early on and has continued to this day. You'll also see that all of the regular "inmates" do their best to maintain this high level of chaos

Steph/Brian (alias Ali),

Go ahead and rub it in. I'm wading in water too; unfortunately it's frozen and white and up to my
knees

Only a couple of days away and everyone seems to be on the sherry. Cheers to all !

Carol
Not remotely STRESSSSSSED. Have to feed 40 on Boxing Day so a little forward planning is not only a fairly good idea it is also imperative. Or I could spend Christmas Day a very angry old woman - no - don't say it . Only buffet stuff but still has to be organised or sh*t definitely not only hits but shatters fan. Just need to down another Valium.

Bill
You old curmudgeon. Humbug, humbug !

Tony
So good to hear from you again. May your clouds lift and the sun break through.

Sandra,

Talk about the "Pot calling the Kettle"

I'm very mellow at this time of year (actually at all times of the year) thanks to what is probably the greatest invention you Brits have ever devised. Icy cold, straight up, and just a hint of vermouth %*}

Cheers, Bill 8)

Please tell me you are putting vermouth into gin and not our beer ! If the former actually have a martini in hand OH just made, if the latter you really have a problem.

Brighton? Huh! Just you try central London mate!
Being somewhat vertically challenged I have to hang on to Himself like a limpet so that he can carve a path through the crowds and stop me being swept away in a tide of bad -tempered humanity. He is 6'3" so acts as my bodyguard. Actually, that's on a normal day. You won't get me near London (not the shops anyway) at this time of year.
I'm pleased to say Davesue that you are shaping up nicely as a waffler. I'm always glad to have some fresh blood on the Waffle...gives me a chance to relax and take time off now and again..
Have a wonderful holiday, Christmas and New Year.

Hi everyone.Must take this quick opportunity to wish you all a Happy Christmas and a Very Happy New Year. :D I have had the flu/cold thing that seems to be everywhere.Managed to stay at work and even do some overtime to fill staffing gaps but I am still struggling to get rid of the cough. My closest friend's husband has been in hospital since wed with a severe viral infection which has the symptoms of intense pains in his head and neck causing him to keep blacking out for a minute or so.It was very scary for all of us and my friend and I stayed with him all friday night damp sponging him, giving sips of fluid and trying to reassure him that he was'nt going to die :!: Thier daughter is the girl who lost her baby last year and is due to have a ceasarean section on new years eve so we are all worrying about her aswell and finally convinced her that she must go home and rest when she wanted to stay with her Dad. He is still very poorly but improving slowly thank goodness. Xmas preparations have been on hold so I must go back to my bed making ect. working mon tue and the night of christmas eve so not got much time.
Love to you all
Gill xxx

Ps Bill,If we manage to meet up next year I will let you buy the rum punch to make up for leaving me out of the "lovely ladies" list  Not sure how many will buy my forgiveness

Wowee Zowee (as we say here in old hippy land) the momentum of this waffle is enough to make my head spin...

Firstly thanks for kind words of support. Clouds have lifted. Just a bit of a wobble. Back on track. No cause for alarm.

Steph. Just for one magical moment I was there, swimming in the warm sea at Little Bay. Lurvely!!!

Dave, don't think about the coming back bit yet. If all you have to worry about is the chilly time spent waiting for the courtesy coach I'm sure you'll manage. Do you really want to lug a change of winter clothes all the way to paradise and back? Twice now I have travelled back from Gatwick to the Isle Of Wight on trains and ferries in freezing February wearing layers and layers of holiday t-shirts etc and have lived to tell the tale. (Now this bit of the waffle started with me being misterhardtravellingtoughandIdon'tcare but to be honest, the obsession I have with travelling as light as possible is a complete waste of time because Janette always finds a way of filling up the spaces that I have so carefully created and I seem to remember that while I was freezing my wotsits off she was as snug as a smug bug in warm winter wear that had magically appeared from some secret corner of a suitcase - probably mine). I have now degenerated into pure waffle and Know not what I am saying or why I am saying it but I guess that this is the place to be.

Chaos & confusion.

Have just reread your last two posts Bill and have chilled out. Yes, you are very mellow. I can feel it.
Thank-you.

Have to work this afternoon and then I am free until 5th January.

I will be back to wish you all the best for Christmas.

Love

Tony

And The Winner Is ..........

Even though we have a few days to go I think it's safe to say that this photo of The Bude Boy will be the post of the year on the Waffle

Steph,

Now that you can post pictures how about one of Little Ali ?

Gill,

When I listed the lovely ladies I was just including those who had posted in the period between the time when I posted and acknowledged a number of people and my previous post to that. Huh? I certainly was not excluding you or any of the other lovely ladies who have ever posted in The Waffle. Nor am I excluding any of the lovely men who post here. Nor am I excluding any of the lovely dual gender posters (and you know who you are). EVERYBODY WHO POSTS HERE IS LOVELY

That said I have no idea how many rum punches it will take to buy your forgiveness but I'm willing to do whatever it takes %*}

Sandra,

Don't be daft, of course I'm referring to gin. Despite the fact that most of your cousins on this side are ignorant of the proper way to drink beer I know that it is drunk warm.

Tony,

Enjoy your time off chilling out 8)

Dave/Sue,

Enjoy your trip you lucky dog(s)

we always love to show of our "golden child", but not so much in the net for everyone to see. since this forum is open to non mebers to see as well, we wont put a picture here. fellow wafflers, friends and guests, just send us an email at info @ alibaba-tours.com (without the two spaces before and after the @) and we will be happy to send you one via email.
unfortunately the world is not only good and we are not all just "farting rainbows" (pardon my french) so we rather be safe than sorry!

most sunny greetings (was a glorious day) from calm seas (swells to come, I know) in castara...if you could hear the waves...ali playing some soft raggea right now... oh, ah, sorry, was not supposed to do that, was I?!

see you all sooner or later back here

STEPH!!!! =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
Following Bill's advice I hereby decree that you be granted the Grand Order of the Waffle for Outstanding Posting Achievement in your efforts to bring us a photo of the Budeboy. Did you slip something into his Carib to get him to agree?

David, how could you stand being in that costume in that heat? I have studied your face carefully using my brand-new, hideously expensive varifocal glasses and conclude that yes, I did meet your twin in Cornwall. The resemblance was most uncanny....

Steph, expect an email from me via Royal Courier.
And er, I've never heard the expression "farting rainbows" before.

Bill,
You certainly tied yourself up in knots over the "lovely ladies" issue didn't you?

Gill,
Hope your friend is OK. That bug sounds extremely nasty. If you don't meet Bill, perhaps he could send you a rum voucher....

Tony,
Dear Bruv, it's good to see you full of vim and vigour again.

Love to all,
Noe
