Does anyone know of a sports centre/gym that i can visit while on the island.
Even one in a Hotel where I can sneak into.
Step/aerobics/pump, etc.
Cheers

Re: Sports Centres
Hiya,
I understand there's one at Crown Point, at the crossroads just before the airport. There's two buildings (on the left just before if you're approaching the airport!). One houses Pizza Boys / Churchs Chicken and right behind it is, I believe, another building with a gym inside (upstairs). There are also a couple of hotels which have gyms in them - the larger ones. There's also JK's Gym in Montgomery, based at Four Kings apartments, which has some equipment in it. I think you can join that one on a short term basis, if that's any help! I think the one nearest the airport is probably the biggest and most up to date, however, so if you're on the south of the island, that's going to be your best bet!
Lisa.

Hi Lisa
There were a large gym into that bulding but they did close down some years ago. Office/changing rooms down stairs and gym upstairs.
Are there a new gym now into same building? I don´t remember any gym from my vacation july 2008.

Re: Sports Centres
Hi Ronald,
In all honesty, I'm not sure! I know there was one there, and it was fairly recently as the two buildings I'm talking about haven't been in operation that long... but my gym knowledge is limited, I'm afraid!! My idea of exercise is running away from it!!

Well Lisa, if you "running" from the gym, than you do exercise, if not inside the gym!
The gym in Crown Point were very good, a lot of modern equipments, but I believe it was to expensive, to big and they didn´t get so many regulary exercising there. They closed the gym and moved to Black Rock, at least peoples told me so, but I did never find it.
There are some kind of gym in Scarborough too, but I have never been there, so I´ll have to search again.

Re: Sports Centres
The gym in Crown Point closed down a while ago and moved to the villas on the beach at Black Rock - but now that is also closed. There is a newish gym in uptown Scarborough - upstairs in a bright green building close to the traffic lights - I believe it's possible to pay per session there.
There is also a gym at the Dwight Yorke stadium which it is also possible to pay for on a session basis.
Le Grand/Grafton hotels had a gym that was open to non-residents, however I am not sure what the current status is. If you call one of the hotels, I'm sure they'd be able to give ou information on that.

Thank´s Rachel
I´ll for sure check the gym in Scarborough this summer as I most likely will stay nearby this time.
