Re: LIQUID SUNSHINE - Feedback
Yes David ... and it looks like it could rain most of today too.
Low pressure has developed and is giving some very strong echoes on the sat-loops so the rain will be quite heavy at times.

Oh gawd! But at least the greens and fairways will be lush for a round of golf, if the water has run off them!!

Re: LIQUID SUNSHINE - Feedback
Thanks Paul
It is still moist so although the general rain has cleared away there should be plenty of showers.
Mick ... I just cannot understand how you can travel all the way to Tobago to smack golf balls around in that heat. Thought I was mad
I will update Liquid Sunshine tomorrow ... been busy today ... but anyone travelling to and from the UK and northern Europe this week should expect disruption to their travel ... heavy snow about from Monday.
Regards

Hi Paul, I'm allowed one game while out there and my wife says she will caddie. Probably to make sure I don't spend too long in the 19th hole bar
Anyway, it beats trying to hold onto a club with numb fingers in dear old bligthy. I think us softie southerners are going to get it worse than you hardy folk up north.

Re: LIQUID SUNSHINE - Feedback
Paul. You're prediction for drier weather for possibly the next couple of weeks is good news for us as we'll be arriving in Castara this Friday. From the frigid Canadian plains to glorious warmth and sunshine is what we're looking for.

Re: LIQUID SUNSHINE - Feedback
Hi Glen ... more Canadians, oh lordy, keep up the good work ... looks like another couple of good weeks for Castara
Mick ... it's looking a bit hairy for the UK this week ... the main issue is flight/train/road disruption which seems likely up to Thursday ... it has already started snowing in Yorkshire and it will get far worse before conditions improve ... this, of course, also applies to those returning to the UK this week so there is a possibility that some lucky brits will have an extra day in Tobago if the UK weather proves to be as bad as expected.

Re: LIQUID SUNSHINE - Feedback
Hi Crazy Person (good to see there is Canadian blood in you)
I can (and I choose my word carefully) guarantee that you will have sunshine and moonshine at some point or points during your 2 week stay.
If you check my last weekly update on Liquid Sunshine you will see that I have noted the moisture around right now which means that there will be quite alot of showers ... but there is dry Saharan Dust moving in by the end of this week, alot of it ... so I am predicting a fairly dry period for a week or two for you.
But it would be a shame if there is no rain ... it's lovely to swim in the sea while it is raining.
The main worry this week is getting to Tobago for all the Europeans ... today, the main airport for Tobago (Gatwick) has had severe disruption but hopefully it will improve later this week ... there is still potential snow around in the the UK for a few more days yet.
So, I guess, if you can get to Tobago, you will not be disappointed even if it rains a bit
I hope the airports in Canada are OK for you.
Regards

Re: LIQUID SUNSHINE - Feedback
That sounds great! Thanks for the info!
The weather here is not bad right now...we live close to the mountains (Alberta) so we get the nice winter weather (still not as good as Tobago sounds). Hopefully the weather hangs in there at least until our plane leave the ground!
Looks like there are some other prairie canucks headed for Tobago!!!

Re: LIQUID SUNSHINE - Feedback
Well ... it's like this ...
The Met Office underestimated the snowfall that fell over southern parts of the UK but I am sure they will make themselves look good about it regardless.
As a possible consequence, they seem to have overestimated the amount of snowfall for the northern UK with 'extreme' weather warnings ... but so far only a trace of snow is settling on my doorstep.
So ... the south should be fine but a bit slippery tommorow morning and the north a bit slushy and messy.
I am looking at the sat loops and I think that the energy that the North Sea was giving to this weather system has now run out of steam ...
I sense that you will be OK tomorrow in the UK. I hope things are Ok in Denmark.
I hope this helps ... otherwise Dr Stephan may recommend something to keep you cool
Regards
