Little Boy Paul,
Thanks for taking the time out to have a waffle.
So glad you are having fun, but don't have too many late nights or you won't grow up big and strong, and be sure to do your homework or you'll be in trouble with Teacher when you go back.
Make some nice big sandcastles and contact us again soon.
Bye bye,
Auntie Noe

Sorry Bill, I didn't want to ignore you. I love Naturalist but the house I'm going to rent is really nice, two bedrooms and two bathrooms and though we are two woman, we deserately need the space
Paul, it sounds like you really enjoy yourself! Go on with that and my greetings to 'Evil Duck'. He still owes me a boat trip
Thanks for new informations about Castara!
David, maybe the rain or the sunshine has something to do with the name 'Paul' ? Paul T. went away and the sun disapeared. Paul W. comes and the sun is back
Noe and Sandra, stay cool for whatever reason

Ok chaps ... I am going to put the record straight.
Duck is not evil ... he is fun and it is not his fault if he is compromised by a group of hardnosed and mischievious Canadians.
But a boat trip with Duck is worth it just to see how he can wiggle that bum without moving his legs ... I have the video evidence ... pure class !!
Send my regards to Duck and his long suffering assistant, Jay, and tell him I will be back for more surfing over the reefs of Buccoo and to hopefully comandeer more Glass Bottom Boats in the Nylon Pool ...
Regards

HI Paul,
'Evel Duck' is his real nick name, he told me once. And Yes, Duck is a nice and charming tiny guy and you can have a lot of fun with him. On the boat or on land. He is a good friend since years.

Dear Pete
All very well telling us the odd snippet but where is the subersive version ? Duck must be from another planet as while doing the boring chores this morning tried every which way to wiggle bum without legs moving and found it impossible.

Re: Have a waffle with Carol
Ahem, so did I Sandra!
You'd think we had better things to do and think about, wouldn't you?
Why is Duck so-called by the way? I've often wondered about some of the more unusual names I heard in Tobago, but never dared ask...
Duck probably wouldn't remember me but when we went on a boat trip with him I was given the honour of looking after his money and mobile phone as I had pockets in my trousers. I remember him saying he valued the phone more than the cash!
And come on folks-I can't believe there is no-one out there who can instruct 'Pete' on how to upload his subversive video onto Youtube!
In anticipation

OI! WATKINS!
Don't come on here upsetting us wafflers! Most snow I've seen since 1963. No buses, no trains, no planes, no school (but I'm not at work today anyway) and my poor birds have to dig into the snow to get to the feeders. Yes I know I can't take a photo to save my life, and these were taken from the comfort of indoors, but here goes:

Carol
Cripes ! You really are as old as me. Remember 63 very well, school bus could not get us to school, local farmer took over brought tractor and trailer. Guess how many kids took up the offer , well no surprise there then. Also first year school had an out door pool - many years of the usual fund raising events and much rejoicing - no idea why, we swam in the river before we could walk. I digress, cold spell still with us and bus could now navigate hill , second day back after assembly instructed to "clear pool". Yes - you guessed, clear the ice, that afternoon swimming lessons , I kid you not, these days would be child abuse !

As Thumpers mum would say "If you can't say anything nice say nothing at all "

Re: Have a waffle with Carol
I'm going to have to take that Cornishman in hand...
Sandra,
Okay I admit it, I'm 53 years and one month old today.
Of course, people in places like Canada and Illinois must wonder what all the fuss is about, but snow like this in the south of England is rare indeed. I've just donned my heavy boots and gone for a walk in the park, and it's wonderful! The snow is clean and crunchy and the park was buzzing! Everyone is so friendly and cheerful; I've said hello to everyone I've encountered, and we all have something to talk about, and, providing you are dressed warmly enough, it aint cold at all! Just hope it doesn't all freeze over tonight, that's when the trouble starts.
No, I did not make the snowman, he belongs to one of my neighbours.

Re: Have a waffle with Carol
Greetings to all you shivering snowbound Brits,
It's hard to work up any sympathy
when I'm looking out the window at the foot of snow that's been lying on the ground for the last month and a half. It's supposed to get above freezing tomorrow which will be only the second day in the same time period.
Noe,
Actually my house is quite small based on U.S. standards (and definitely not haunted), it's just that it has a tall staircase that precludes leaning ladders against the walls to work from.
Sandra,
We've got the redecorated rooms put back together but still have several others that will require extensive cleaning
And I'm well aware of how far there is to go to complete this project. Let me see; new drapes/window treatments, new area rugs, new wall light fixtures, new paintings/art work/wall decorations, new table linens and the list goes on and on
Oh well, all of that will just have to wait until we get back from Mexico - seven days and counting
Bill

Bill,
I will not hide my disappointment. I was hoping you were living in the kind of property favoured by the Addams family or the Munsters. Or Count Dracula..
