Kia's Across from the Beach is NOT across from the beach. The website states it is two minutes from the beach. It took me five minutes to get there but I jogged. It is nearer a 10 minute walk.

This guest house is incredibly noisy. Every time another guest closes there door in the communal area you can hear the door slam. And that continued until about 3am.

I would not recommend this place and certainly will not return.

Finally, I must echo previous reviews, the lady who manages Kia's is absolutely marvelous. However, the one and only time we asked for a lift from the free shuttle, she was half an hour late turning up. We walked.

Hi Neil

It is dissapointing that you did not enjoy your stay at Kia's and you are naturally entitled to your opinion.

Yes, I agree that the name is somewhat unfortunate and perhaps a trifle misleading. However, I do have to strongly contest your claim that it is "nearer a 10 minute walk". I don't know which beach you are referring to - perhaps Pigeon Point?

What I can tell you with absolute certainty is that Kia's is 400m (1/4 mile) from the actual sand of Store Bay by the shortest route - between 3 and 4 minutes slow stroll. 2 minutes is a bit quick, but it is true to say that you would certainly be on the Store Bay beach facility area within 2 minutes.

If you doubt this, download Google Earth and have a look. This is a section from the map with the guest house and route to Store Bay beach marked.
